Sorry being negative but I live in Brisbane and have to put up with the Maroon crap for weeks either side of origin. I think we were lambs to the slaughter. Suualii (rugby bound talented overpaid moron he is) cost us the series in one moment in the first 10. But Nicho already showed he doesn’t have it at that level. And that ‘gritty’ side that old Madge selected proved to be hopeless - at home. If we win in Brisbane I will be gob smacked.

Thought Robson got better as the game went on, but hope to see Api back in for Game 2 to share the hooking role. Our halves did not gel and seemed a mismatch, as expected. Luai and Hynes were okay in patches - IMO Hynes wasn't utilised properly or we didn't know how to use him- but I'd like to see both Moses and Burton (at centre) in the next game, as their kicking abilities could help alleviate any pressure.
Leniu and S Crichton were our best and I liked Martin too.

Ben Hunt and DCE are both great players in the Origin arena. They really know when to pick/seize their moments. Harry Grant had a rough night and Dearden is growing in confidence at that level. Can't help it but love watching Hammer, everything looks so effortless from him.

Weird use of interchange. We were under the pump from the send off.
Not sure about a couple of our other players either.

NSW need to score points and even having him on for 25 minutes is a negative for their attack.
Jake is a great bloke but he doesn’t give anything to the team in attack.

NSW would have lost even if Sualili was on. Team picked not to lose. Subject to form Moses, Latrell and Api go into this team. Sualili, Robson or Mcinness, Jake T drop out. Another big prop is needed to come in with Leniu.

After the first 20 mins I think Laui should have been moved to primary half. If anyone drags it back when they had moments it was him (and his mate Chriton who was up for it). But lead foot dullard Nico was persisted with by our Madge - the great man. Oh well, I’ll go to bed. 🙏🫣🤪😉
