Train & trial perfect for him, will add depth to our NSW Cup squad.
I’d be reluctant to offload Feledy to retain Faataape. I like Faataape but he’s a depth player. I’d want to see more of Feledy before we cast him off.

Both are small, slow nuggety types. There's definitely not room for both of them. Which one has the most upside? I'll leave that to Benji to work out

I hope so too, for different reasons.
Us and the Dogs are becoming Penrith mk2 and mk3. We got Luai, who comes to us having played with Api, Staines and Naden.
Sure were punting some of Naden/Staines/Bateman/Toa. We need stronger performers and these guys have had a chance. On some level, Luai chose us over the Dogs...
You take Naden or Staines out. Life happens. You take both of these guys out, then suddenly it is Api who is the only person Luai knows.
Plus Luai has combined well with both players in the past. Knowing what someone will do and how they will act is key.
I know 1x of Staines/Naden has to go. Kick them both out and I reckon Luai will be pretty annoyed and even less effective.

It’s a bloody jigsaw mate and there’ll be so many pieces being moved around it will be months before we get a feel for 25.

Definitely- he was there due to injuries. Probably would have been better to swap him with Naden, but tbh I wish Naden was out of the club! I think Faatape will be better next year.

19 and 23.
Feledy has age and youth pedigree on his side. Potentially more upside, does have a way of finding his way over the line, Faatape was excellent last year in Qld cup, and been solid in the NRL for us when called upon.

I really rate Staines, if the team were performing better and he was getting good ball I think he'd suprise a few of his knockers. He's a solid defender & can play a few positions.
Naden unfortunately gives away too many penalties, makes some silly errors and some bad defensive reads. As good a player as he "could" be, I'd rather him go than Staines.
Bateman? He's become a liability. He's too much of a hot head, as good a player as he is, his cons way outweigh his pros.

True, but we know that Staines, Naden, Luai and Api played together at some point.
Not all together, but all 4 were on the same team. around the same training.
You take Staines, Naden out... You have a very different picture for Luai.
Meh, anyway lets see what happens.
