I'm sure you'll be there first to lay the boot in when it's a lesser crowd than LO last week, as we know it will be.

But why are you making excuses for last saturday? I haven't seen the crown mentioned at all... Everyone's too busy enjoying the win
Thanks, as always, for your feedback.
Not making excuses Ink, just thought the size was a bit disappointing until I thought about the timing. We’ve had too many 3pm games already imo. And I will lay the boot into CSS for sure coz I’ve never liked it and after 10 losses obviously neither do the players. But think there’ll be a bigger crowd there this week which is what I said in my previous post.
But I’m really enjoying the win mate, don’t worry about that. Got my head up high for a change, however, think we’ll resume normal transmission this week.

Apparently forgot about the weather too....

The hill was a mudpit after rain all day Friday and all morning Saturday...

Still more in attendance than the REAL average Cambo crowds of the past 4 seasons (not including non-attending members)!

Any thoughts on why? It's been a few years since I have been to Campbelltown but it's set up much the same as all suburban grounds. So why no atmosphere?
I’m guessing that most fans living outside of the south west can’t be bothered trying to get there, even though the public transport is as good as you’ll find.

Cause we always lose there.... a losing atmosphere... starts off good.. fans show up.. spend their hard earned... travel a bit... then reality sets in...the game is 29 minutes old.. edges been run ragged - mistakes set in, and the scoreboard always looks the same... visitors own us on our own ground.

The Magpies were always an inner west club (Pratten Park at Ashfield and Lidcombe Oval) and only moved to Campbelltown in 1987. The club was actually founded in Ashfield.

The wisdom of moving so far out at the time was they were going to take advantage of the growing Macarthur region....sounds familiar.

There are some die hard Campbelltown supporters on here that are probably residents of the south west, so any slight on the stadium is taken as a slight at where they live.

The issue is both clubs are ultimately inner west clubs and that's why we get so much support there, coupled with the fact that there's just much more to do before and after a game in the inner west than being stuck out in Campbelltown.

There's nothing wrong with nurturing the area, but both the Magpies and now the Tigers have been ramming Campbelltown down the fans throats as the second coming of for years and the fans and players just don't respond. Sure...we get the odd crowd out there, but it's hilarious to see people justify it by saying we aren't getting crowds because the away teams that play are out of towners. At Leichhardt, it doesn't matter if it's Melbourne or Nth Qld....it's packed out and people it despite the shit hole it is.

Apart from lack of atmosphere, it's a graveyard for the WT. Players are beaten before they go there. Does'nt feel like a home game. They train at Concord and travelling to Campbelltown is like an away game for us.
At LO they lift on most occasions as they feel it's their home ground.

It’s about looking forward. I had no doubt with Gus there and a steady stream of good players signing on the Dogs would come good. Probably Braith did too.

We are in that boat now with Richo there and Luai and co on the way. Braith is pretty positive about us.

Buzz on the other hand is just a puppet for whoever is buying his schooners.
Nice but the dogs what have changed their team more than any other in the last two seasons ti achieve this. How many players did they steal of us, just to sod them off with in a year?? E.g Naden, pangi, Sharon, etc.
The pangi is the biggest farce in rhe history of the NRL. Sure u r being paid $800,000 a year and u give that up for no reason to have a gamble at boxing, please… he was paid off it’s obvious. Yet nothing said, if it was us they’d be all over it.

Thats an oxy moron. Why then is it heaven for opposing teams??..
