CEO - Shane Richardson

I dont think the members will get any say now after all the changes that came recently , the members started the ball rolling with huge changes, our home ground issue seems huge and the club just can’t take the step forward , 3 home grounds next year is ridiculous, it’s time to decide , love some one to put up a vote to see where we play for the next say 3 years to see if it’s good enough

LO
Campbell Town
there should be No other entries like Comm Bnk etc
im no computer wiz so don’t know how to set it up

The members have never had a say in the home ground allocation… doubt Richo gives a rats ass what they think l.. he is gunna do what he thinks is best for the club …like it or lump it

He has been on the record as saying he wants a home ground that caters for more corporate dollars and Campbelltown and LO do not currently have this available in the numbers we need to be profitable.

I would love to see Campbelltown knocked down and a Commbank sized stadium built out there and become our home but that wont happen. On a train line and plenty of room, we could make it our home.

I am from the Balmain side of the JV and love the LO experience, however unless they can get more than the $40m for redevelopment then Leichhardt will not see more games. Brookvale ovals stand cost $32.5M so if we had something like that plus redid the Keith Barnes and updated the LR stand there is not much left.

If he moved Souths out of Redfern to the empty canyon at Homebush … he won’t think twice about moving the Tigers… the renovations at LO are still a couple of years away … There seems no appetite from the owners or anyone else to upgrade Campbelltown … these things don’t just happen by themselves …

We know he is moving at least part of their games to either Homebush or Parra next season

Homebush is a far better option than parra, parra is another clubs home ground and always will be

I asked Richo whether he would ask the members for our opinions on our experiences at the various stadia in sydney. His reply was just that we'll be the first to know what the plan is, not that we'll be consulted in any way whatsosever. Think it's a huge mistake not to consult the clubs major stakeholder on sucg things. They don't have to do exactly what we say but making decisions without consultation doesn't usually lead to positive outcomes.

This is just dumb. No other professional club would so that. The reason we don’t play out of LO & CS only is we lose money. Thats what most will say if asked. So hey let’s consult the fan base on what they want knowing that he can’t make most of them happy. He is better off making a decision without fan consultation on this one.

He may well end up choosing a stadium that the fanbase absolutely despises, which will in turn negatively impact memberships and attendance. We've always got tiny crowds at Parra.
Asking a selection of members to rate their experience attending matches at Leichhardt, Ctown, Parra stadium, the SFS and Olympic stadiums across 4-5 different aspects would give the club some tangible data to work with. Of course you can't just say 'where do you want us to play' that would only elicit an emotional response.

If the corporate part is ruling it how does Sharks and Manly compete then , they both have small grounds with 18 k top attendance available to them I believe , , Panthers home ground which I have been to and is quite ok , not sure why they are getting huge amounts to fix it , it’s pretty good but capacity is what 20 k

I don’t believe we loose money playing at both Cambo or LO. He will quote it as a loss but he would be comparing it if we were at Parras home ground I think , Richo needs to keep fans in mind and don’t go all out corporate , I think it would be a mistake , 8000 at LO last Saturday on a real shitty day , cold , wet , team running last , if that was a nice warm dry day , and team was in too 8 that number would be double 15000/ 16000. Easy , we had great crowdes at both Cambo and LO when we go well

And what would that achieve?
He is working on a plan to make us financially viable and get a chunk of cashflow to up our spending in other parts of the business whilst trying to keep some of the heritage.

He sells out at CS or LO and we lose money.

To be financially viable isn’t about 5-10kfans attendance impacts it’s about the corporate deals he can bring into the club which $$$ wise far exceeds the fans impacted for a few games.

If we don’t how has that changed all of a sudden?
It was something known for the last 10yrs+ we play at CS or LO and we lose money even when full.

Wasn’t the narrative LO needs $40m to fix.
So now we get $40m and it’s not enough ?
I’d rather wait and see what can be done for the $40m before we head down another path.

The plans are available. They have a basic view and aspiration section as well.
We are basically doing a reno with an extension.

If we want the kiddies (boys and girls) to support and play for WTs, we need to encourage as many young families into our grounds, especially at CO. Offer $10 or $5 family passes and you will soon fill CO. Entertainment for families these days is often unaffordable, so WTs can make it affordable for the community of the Campbelltown/Macarthur regions. Same could be offered when we head to Tamworth and other regional centres.

No, we just charge $55 GA and $75 plus in grandstand.
No real thought to what we are trying to achieve other than maximum dollars per head.
