In 2009-2010 the Campbelltown City Council built the (admittedly miniscule) Eastern Grandstand, added extra concourse seating, fixed both "hill" ends and improved drainage both for the playing surface & in & around concourse seating with concreting fixing what was a muddy mess during wet periods & all for a $20M spend (in 2010 money). It took someone with the clout of V'landys to get the Inner West Council to do anything but cry poor mouth & put a cup out for fed or state funding. The Campbelltown council doesn’t seem interested in upgrading the ground ….

West's Tigers, who had in private told council they would play more games at Campbelltown (if it was upgraded) reneged on that pledge. I can understand the Campbelltown City Council being reluctant to spend big (again) on CS when West's Tigers haven't put their money where there mouth is & have failed spectacularly when it comes to investing in the Macarthur, even Richo has admitted to that fact.
There's scope there to build a much bigger stadium at Campbelltown, the land is there & so is a leagues club. A full rebuild of CS could incorporate a Southern Grandstand attached to the leagues club like there is at Shark Park but that'd be $100M plus minimum, more likely twice that or more.
Just a comparatively small $40m spent on CS could provide much more seating (on top of better dressing rooms corporate facilities etc) than the $40M on Leichhardt is going to provide, easily twice as much as it could build a decent Northern Grandstand or greatly increase the size of either the Eastern or Western stand.
