CEO - Shane Richardson

Leave it up to you Ink with your expertise in that area.

Just genuinely concerned about loss of memberships, because like me, there are a lot of people that despite it being a great stadium, people see it as nothing other than the home ground of the Parra-sites and refuse to accept it as one of our home grounds.

Fair enough that the 'Riff are going there for a couple of seasons but generally speaking, it is still basically close to their home area and they have a brand new stadium to go back to at the end of it all.

I certainly will not ever go back there again and despite the fact that Accor/ANZ/Olympic Park is a cavern with very little soul on most occasions and is shared by a couple of teams already, it still feels like a more neutral venue than CommBank ever will.
It looks like polls arent doable on here
I remember now a thread on it a few years back
Sorry hank

I'm really interested to see Stef get the " No Bull" Richo treatment.

Stef is not playing inline with his contract demands and our best ever signing is coming next year...

OK , when does everyone think Richo will release any signings if in fact there is any to be made . Or players leaving .
Maybe buy end of this month we may hear 1 or 2 movements , but I have a bad feeling this club is going to come out and say we got our juniors we ok , clearly this is not the case as we are looking very poor in first and second grade , Fleg team not going better as year goes on

I think Pole would be a priority signing for us as he is the best cub we have challenging the old guard.

But I’m sure his raw talent hasnt gone unnoticed and he’s only going to improve.

Half the game would be ringing his manager trying to get a feel for his street value.

Average award is about 400k at the moment.

I’m sure a bunch of guys are happy under Benji, but a couple of extra wins this year would mount some of kind of case to stay for the undecided.

Richo said not too long ago we had that $1m to spend and if I’m Poles manager, I’d want my cut of that.

I’ve shoved a poll up if anyone is keen thanks to @Spartan117 suggestion. A bit of fun.

Digging around in the Rugby League Project at looking at South Sydney Rabbitohs exactly 20 years ago. You can see a similar club to where we were at.
At the start of 2004 Shane Richardson commenced at the club in the CEO position credited for rebuilding the Panthers over the previous 2 years.
Over those two previous seasons, Souths came last.
(with 2002 being ranked as 14th due to the Bulldogs salary cap scandal).
The following year after Richo had a foot in the door for a season Souths avoided the wooden spoon coming 13th this time though still suffered the worst PD and Against in the comp.
The following year in 2006 despite the good news story of the privatisation deal of Crowe and Holmes a court Souths went back to their rightful place at the bottom of the lot ranked only 14th end of round 1 only to end up at 15th for the remaining rounds winning just 4 games.
However as 2006 was unfolding and transition of the change of ownership / management was taking place Souths managed to sign the biggest on field deal in their history signing up NZ international and Premiership winner Roy Asotasi.

We need a Roy Asotasi deal. Who would it be?
With both Spencer Leniu and Leo Thompson on low deals with their clubs could it / should it be one of them that gets offered the 800+k deal that Stefano has been considering?

Why is it always the player??? How many stars did we have in 2005?
It’s not the player it’s the message.
I will say this though recruiting a decent half is great and all but although a half touches the ball the 2nd most times in a side he can’t play with the ball himself. He needs players to go to, he needs forwards that will hold their own and backs that can break a game apart.
Currently Luai will be a slight increase on Sezer without changes to other key areas of the squad.

The front row is where it is at.
Personally I think it should be Leniu we go all balls for. Using the Mt Druit brotherhood connection of Jarome, the chance to carve his own direction as a leader of a pack and of course the money to make him one of the highest paid forwards in the game we might be able to pull it off.

Cold hard fact. Leniu ain't coming. Agree with Klemmer.
I wouldn’t give up so easily.
He is currently on a 2 yr deal with the Roosters signed on as he wants to be a leader of a pack hoping to be theirs. It looks like Terrell has jumped the queue.
The following forwards have been resigned longer term then him.
RE-SIGNED
Nat Butcher (2027), Lindsay Collins (2028), Angus Crichton (2026), Terrell May (2026), Junior Pauga (2027), Billy Smith (2027), Sandon Smith (2026), Naufahu Whyte(2026), Siua Wong (2026)
There is a chance!
