These selections e plain a few things:

1) why Bateman wasn’t in the presser after the South’s loss… Benji ripped into him in the dressing room after the game and Bateman spat the dummy and refused to attend the presser.

2) Douhei attends the presser after the South’s game and Benji rips into the “Senior” players ….

3) Klem only playing 24 minutes

good on Benji sending a clear message to the so called Senior players…now replace them

Are some of the comments serious here? Surprise that Bateman, Klemmer and Doueihi were dropped. But after the last game everyone was calling for them to be dropped. Thought there would be some more elation than this

Totally agree. Benji had to do it. As far as Sullivan and naden well they are just proving Reggie's its thier leval.
Give them a go for fs.

Your scenario makes a lot of sense and i certainly hope you are right

Yep. He hates young players for some reason. Really likes to attack youngsters trying to make it in the NRL while campaigning for experienced players that continually let us down. Very odd to continually go after youngsters while giving seasoned players a free pass.

Nothing wrong with good young players such as Galvin, the Fainu brothers and Da Silva.
The rest of them are not ready and will quite possibly never be up to NRL standard which is evident when they struggle to compete at NSW Cup level.
An NRL position is not meant to be a participation award, it is meant to be earned.
But as long as a good portion of our fan base are happy with these decisions which leads to us finishing last every season, then not much will change.

I have on occasions seen Sullivan put on plays ,side step create tries etc
I have never seen Latu do this . While I think both Sam and Sione earn their spots im convinced all the positivity about Latu is just Forum hype . Trying to understand where all this is coming from I watched carefully as he had substantial minutes and it was very ordinary .He was just receiving and passing to who was next without any run / draw and pass . His 7 tackles and 5 missed tackles wasnt impressive
On the other hand TDS was very impressive and now will probably spend 60 mins on the bench
Don't think Benji trying to win each week but rather spend rest of season experimenting with as many kids as possible

We've done the same all year and no results. Give the kid a fair go. We can't keep doing the same. Yes they are going to miss tackles yes they will make mistakes yes it takes time to build combinations. The season is cooked now let's test what we got.

I don't wanna see Naden in FG again. I'd rather see Declan Casey get another go before him, and Casey was bad in his lone game for us.

Casey has been bad in many more NSW Cup games too

Doueihi getting scheduled time off the field is pretty smart & responsible from the club.

A bit more time off the field and a lot more time at tackling practice would be great.

I understand he wants to offload them, but not listing them in our top 22 when their recent form clearly shows they clearly deserve it is very poor form from Benji.
When he wants to play favourites it is no wonder we are sitting in 17th place.

Every time they've played NRL they've been terrible. Why are they going to be great this week?

Have they really tried with Sullivan? He is less than a year into a 4 year deal. He is also the only half weve had this year who understands the mechanics of how to set up to score points.
Yes he has faults. Why dont they work with him on them? It’s called coaching.

Honestly I think they are just assessing cost v benefit. He is older than Latu (alternative back up half), costs the same and probably has roughly the same upside.

If no salary cap, sure persist with him. I also believe he will end up a regular first grader.

Yet, we have deficiencies at prop, second row, lock, centre, winger… so I’m assuming they just decided they need to make a call and then try to free up cash to fix these gaps.

Has no clue as a coach. Should just admit it and resign. Would be much more respected if he did. He gave it a shot but it's not hid go.

I’m in disbelief Benji is selecting players in our NRL team who get dusted up every time they play NSW Cup.
Reuben Porter had an absolute shocker playing NSW Cup on the weekend, so what do we do, promote him for his dismal performance.

I reckon we’ll see Sione Fainu start at lock with iPap moved to right side backrow.

All 3 Fainus to start together & all the boys ready to rip in for iPap’s 150th.

Latu to play 1st 30 mins, TDS comes on, Api to halfback, Latu returns for final 20 mins.

In a workplace it is important that people feel safe. People need to feel that as long as their intent is right, the effort is right, then they will get some grace if they make mistakes. We all make them. Everyone has a bad day, bad project, bad customer meeting whatever…

Luke had a shocker. Drop him now, because of one game and you just create fear.

My comments about under performing players were not just about him.
