Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don't think the Bulldogs found guys never heard of before. They just found VALUE in the Max King, Sam Hughes, Curren, Taafe, Hutchison, Salmon, Mann, Knight etc.

Don't overpay, getting guys that do 'a job'.

Not being a smart-ass, but if you can't get 'value' from a combination of Peter Hola, Liam Knight, Hayze Perham, Jeral Skelton, Billy Burns, Jack Williams, Tesi Niu, Kleese Haas, Joe Stimson, Raymond Vaega, Corey Waddell, Reimis Smith, Dean Ieremia, Jazz Tevaga, Mat Croker, Enari Tuala, Jordan Maclean, Semi Valemei, Daejarn Asi, Matt Eisenhuth, Michael Chee-Kam, Shaq Mitchell, Isaiah Tass, Izaac Thompson, Tom Eisenhuth, Jesse Marschke, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Alec Tuitavake & guys told they can look elsewhere like Holmes, Ravalawa, the Siafiti brothers, Jack Hetherington, Royce Hunt...

I reckon you can find 3-4 players in that lot that will improve the squad without blowing a budget. Each club will find different values in different players. But there's a couple of Max King's waiting for the right club.

For example- Mat Croker, Joe Stimson/Corey Waddell, Kleese Haas, Jeral Skelton/Ravalawa & Isiah Tass.

I would wager they perform no worse than Utoikamanu, Bateman, Staines, Klemmer, Faataape or Doueihi. In fact, I'd almost suggest our middle defence improves & we are safer out wide.
Great post

There is talk that Christan Welsh is on the outer at Melbourne younger guys coming through

What about offering him a two year deal just to bring in a professional player

We need to clear out
Stef , Papa , Simpain , done
now we need to move about 3 more from the top 30 and replace with better as we need experience mixed with our youth , Richo needs to look at out team and remove potential and duds , other wise we in the Sam boat over and over again , I also believe more players under contract will become available , I think club bosses would be talking , like say Parra call Richo and say well you have lost Papa , Stef , Bateman , we have these guys we want to move on , any interest we can do a deal , eg
Campbell Gillard = Repaces Stef , Parra say he is on $ 850 k 2 years left , take him and we kick in $ 200 per year so he arrives at $ 650 k or similar , Cows would dump $ 240 - 300 to move Big Jason from his $ 1 mill per year no worries or do what’s happening offer up Val $ 900 at cows $ 750 at tigers

Richo's players ready to fight comment reminds me of a team fighting against relegation in soccer. You often see the same players ending up at clubs who are at risk of relegation in place of the luxury, talented players - rarely are they the most talented but they are all tenacious, tough and win at all costs. Bulldogs got it right last year, our mentality has to be the same. We need grafting, effort players who don't pack it in when things are hard.

I wonder if it was also a message to reassure Luai. Given that the forward pack he was set to play behind was folding quicker then a stack of cards.

How Jimmy ended up after years on the piss.
Very troubled.

Good old grog.

And Andrew OKeefe back on the gear and driving as well. Ready to plough into someone’s kids at the bus stop during his stupid wah wah “look at me” bender.

Cretin.

He's not the player he was.

But that doesn't make him of no value.

There would be a dollar value where he is a viable rotational piece.

This degree of nuance in discussion is not welcome.

Black and white opinions only.

(You are very, very correct. JT at 400k for eg, would be a wonderful acquisition.)

The fact that Weidler has mentioned this is interesting.

As much as the journos, almost to a man, are sensationalist, fibbing and embellishing peanuts; they do have their claws into the odd source.

There is plenty of money for Brian from our perspective. His best mate is coming. It's close (ish) in rugby league terms. It's in a severe area of need.

I wonder...
