✅ Stadium strategy

It's July 5 & we're still hear key announcements on ...

❓ Additional 3 independent board directors (was supposed to be by now)
❓ Cubs squads for 2024
❓ Some pathways retention signings (hopefully Makasini, Large, Taupau-Moors & Godinet)
❌ Any 30 additions which were made prior to July 1
❓ Experienced assistant coach added to the club for season 2025
❓ Stef commits
❓ New major sponsor for 2025+
❓ Release of players for 2025 (to free up roster spots for any new signings for '25)

I for one thought we'd have filled the board positions by now & would have been able to announce at least 1 pathways signing.

PS. I have seen regular announcements on Instagram from player agents about elite young players signing with clubs (either into top 30 or pathways deals) but nothing about Tigers juniors in months.

Our board must be big Springsteen fans. Glory days on repeat.

After appointing a coach 10 years past his used by date which ended in tears, they bring back a CEO that has been out of the game almost as long.

Next round of replacements will be sourced from cryogenic chambers once technology allows

Its humans like yourself that are the heartbeat, the pulse that keep the dream alive. Now, are you sad you are living or NZ or sad you can't buy membership cause you live in New Zealand?
 
Glad we finally have a ceo with a brain. He recognises our biggest culture issue, the glaring issue of our second tier players. Top tier needs to be accountable and put in 110% each week or they will drop their spot. "In the crocodile roll" or piss off. A Decade of no accountability in the senior squad = the putrid shit displayed on the park each week.
 
I think we all needed to hear that and what a great man he is..

He has Proven this time after time he knows what is needed and I for one have full faith.

Some good points raised

  • Sound like a new signing is close
  • Only looking at 3 quality signings with the 2 mil so they should be decent by the sounds of it
  • there will be quite a few changes happening with in next 6-8 weeks
  • Players that are injured or need surgery won't be allowed to do rep games - 100% agree
  • He even slipped our offer to Stefo was a bit high by the sounds of it and he seems fine he is going
  • Benji - He is very happy with Benji as he as the hard conversations and not just say he will
  • Sounds like they have told Bateman if he wants to come back, he will need to pull his socks up and I don't think he will so goodbye.
  • Has had upfront conversation with the players and Managers that are NOT a part of the future.

Just a very positive update we all needed to hear.

He is 100% right in that we just need to cut the deadwood and sign a few decent players and all need to dig in as a team for it to work.. The best player for this is Laui and he will be our Batman
