The NAS tackle was worse than Tago’sReviving an old thread --
Did anyone see the Panthers v Knights game? Tago's highshot on Ponga. Shoulder direct contact with chin. Put on report and penalty. No sin bin let alone send off.
Am I losing my mind? Have I fallen into the one-eyed cognitive bias I've always fought against? This is very similar to Olam's tackle (some could even say Olam bounced off the chest) and yet a totally different outcome. I applaud that cooler heads prevailed but why wasn't that the case in the Tigers game?
In 2024 we've had 15 sin bins and 1 send-off. Not getting the 50/50 calls is one thing but if that happens every game then statistically that's no longer a 50/50. In fact, that becomes a 1 in 56.21 chance. Something smells fishy here more than the usual unconscious bias against the teams lower on the ladder. Got me wanting to quote Coach Toovey...

Re employ Gavin so she never referees us again. No different to her refereeing the club who sacked hubby.
I'd say the fact she's hopeless should disqualify her from refereeing any matches. Not Found | Fox Sports Videos

For God's sake do you not understand?Daley was blocked by the NRL from being a WT's halves coach because of affiliations to betting but he was able to coach the Indigenous All Stars and be an Australian Selector.
Daddy Badger was on WT payroll last year and Kasey was allowed to officiate our games, yet swap WT for Souffs this year and perceived conflict of interest suddenly becomes an issue.
Gould is General Manager of Doggies but is allowed to use his role in the media to critique other clubs and their players which potentially impacts player contracts, salary caps and Doggie recruitment.
Welcome to the NRL, have a nice day.
I loved how the tough NRL were recently going to fine Gould $10k or so for some comments. He threatened to get lawyers involved and NRL went to water and backed down. The NRL, officials and referees are so unaccountable and pretty much without shame in regards to so many instances of double standards.
