Word on the street is Monday morning club are announcing Tex Hoy, John Asiata and kaide Ellis. And by street I mean facebook.

Asiata was an amazing utility. Not many players could play prop and halfback in the nrl and play both well. Very skillful lock as well. His anti vax stance was the only reason his nrl stint came to an end. He was Leigh Leopards best player last year. I haven’t watched any Leigh games this year to know how he is going. Not sure if he would be quality in Nrl anymore. The other 2 would only be depth signings surely if we did actually sign them.

So if the rumours are true, you’re telling me Richo went all the way to England to recruit some bog average Australian players back to the NRL and not any Englishmen! Like seriously, there’s so many great English forwards in the SL and we can’t recruit one of them! It’s mind boggling

If I was building a team from scratch, we need 1-2 Poms and at least 1 redhead in every strong team (P.S that doesn’t include Alex Seyfarth lol) 😜

Josh Curran can negotiate in November. Would be great to get him for 26 and maybe Dogs would let him go early...

He would be an amazing get! So underrated, high workrate, great offload and can play a number of positions

If you showed just a highlights reel of Stefano it would destroy Hunts video. Think of how many barnstorming runs he has done over the years, the tries he has scored. His highlights far outweigh Hunts. And I'm no fan of Stefano, but his best is very good.

I'm a no to Hunt. He has far too little output minuted wise for the money it would take us to get him and his age suggests there is no more upside to what he is currently producing.

How about you focus on defensive highlights.
Does Steph still end up on top?

If Teddy was an option and the price was good we would be nuts to say no. He instantly increases our win count & gets us off the bottom of the ladder. He has a few good years left in his body still.

The price wouldn’t be good though most likely.

Edit: also I’m against this on principle. He’s made it pretty obvious what he thinks of the club. Tigers gave him a start and he can come back to retire on a good wicket after he achieves big things at a top club. It would reinforce our feeder club status.

Compared to Hunt yes by a mile. Stef gas gone so it doesent matter but no one who knew anything about footy would choose Hunt over Stef

Reminds me of a classic bit of commentary years ago.
Karmichael Hunt made a break and Rabs got over excited and shouted his name, but his brain hadn’t settled on what to shout. It couldn’t decide between Karmichael! or Hunt! and he ended up screaming Kunt!
Very funny.

Michael Devere ex Broncos player, his name is actually Micheal Hunt and as a kid was called Mike and Mikey but changed his surname because of obvious reason he grew up 2 houses behind me in Campbelltown
