Whatever the result we will have a 3peat. We haven’t won 3 games in succession for a very long time. It would be great for the boys to go into a preseason with that point of discussion.

I do think we should stop calling it the Spoonbowl though….we labelled it the ShitCup two months ago and it’s more accurate.
These are the two worst teams of 2024 and whoever loses will have thoroughly earnt the spoon….but make no mistake, the team who come 16th have had a putrid year of incompetence as well.

If we are to be a serious football team we should be using this next week as grand final training for both the players and the coaching team. They should be straight into breaking down how to beat parra and what makes them loose. Devise a plan and then impart that onto the players so they can train specifically to beat this one team.
But I’ve seen us in this situation before, with actually more to win at stake and get flogged, so I have this sickly feeling that I keep pushing down and stomping on it. I have this lucky piece of wood (not a metaphor), that Mrs BF gave me and I will be touching it for the next two weeks. (Still not a metaphor).
It’s pretty sad that that all we get to hope for out of our season is that we finish second last and avoid the spoon, but such is the lot of a Wests Tigers fan. It’s almost like going into a grand final for us lol
On another note, does anyone else think that our sudden favouritism with the refs over the past two weeks might mean big bets are on Parramatta for the spoon? Let’s face it, betting rules everything in this game now and I find it really strange that a team that has been bashed from pillar to post by the officials all season are suddenly angels in their eyes and our opposition is being slammed. Something is fishy. It’s either bets on Parra or Benji has finally found some dirt on Annesley. Either way, I’m happy.

Pretty sure the Slime actually did this early days of CummBank Stadium and locked out away team supporters from buying tickets. You had to go to their leagues club and show your Jarryd Hayne arse tattoo or no tickets for you.

It doesn't doesn't matter what Parramatta do next week. If we win rd 27, they get the spoon. We need to stay focused the next fortnight & start fast after the bye. We can't afford to be giving our opposition head starts, as we did v Manly and as the Broncos did last night.
