I was going to say something about the fans who ONLY follow Wests Tigers. Like you, and me. I am much older than you, and have followed footy since the 70s, but I've been a Wests Tigers fan since 2002. I couldn't give 2 hoots about WM and BT. I wish WT was all grades. I think WT really needs to plan for and look towards the future, and if that means 1 new home ground, 1 KOE, 1 JF, etc, team, then I'm for it.

Balmain Tigers are part of the fabric of Wests Tigers, through the many thousands of old Balmain fans who have supported the joint venture.

A few old dinosaurs chucking a tantrum doesn’t change that.

I agree, Wests would have been out of the comp if tigers didn't merge with them. Was a silly decision

I was a Balmain Supporter, living and playing in the Penrith catchment (brainwashed by my old man) and I was upset when we were forced to merge. However, it was either support the joint venture or start follwing another club. So the JV it was and I have not looked back (although I secretly do wish that we would revert bock to Black, White and Gold).

The vast majority of the fan base will treat this with the contempt it deserves
