As far as I know, these directors own nothing except maybe claim on some assets with the debentures. They are elected officials, not private owners, even with the dodgy power consolidation with the debenture setup.

I'm saying this is all a reaction to HBG seemingly backtracking on the recommendations. You can already see the self-interest at work with Dennis taking the spot of someone far more qualified. That is concerning behavior, wouldn't you agree?

The key things we need the HBG to do, implement the changes to the Wests Tigers constitution, accept the skills Matrix for directors and install the independent directors. I am still hopeful of this occuring over the next month or so. If it doesn't occur it will be time for the fanbase to act.

I’m not sure how we can make an impact other then either not attending games en mass, or attending with our backs to the pitch or refusing memberships en mass? What ever we need to do to make that big of an impact it’s going to come at a great loss to the fan base and players themselves.

It’s a little disrespectful to tell Barry if he wants to stay in the job he’s to apply for it at an external recruitment company. It smells like the HGB team have another musician primed to take over.

I don't feel it's disrespectful at all. It's not like he has to front up to a Centrelink office, and I'm sure the interview will be carried out in a dignified manner by professionals.
But as I said in another post...I definitely don't feel he should get the position as he was involved in a corrupt act when he was Premier of NSW, therefore Imo he can't be trusted to hold any position that carries great responsibility.
He should never have been on our board at all.

Funds are allocated for Leichhardt and Campbelltown in the very near future, Richo is doing a great job, and we are getting some exciting new players.
We are on the uP and UP with the existing board.

HBG encompass the whole group including licensed clubs. It is meant to be inclusive, for all parties......probably their strongest suite. And they are stable, no way our identity changes or we abandon our heartlands and they are successful financially. Just need fresh experienced faces.

But anyway all directors of any business get hired and fired by the shareholders.

The right of dismissal must exist otherwise they can effectively take over as a block in theory.

We need to run a Save Wests Tigers ticket at the next Wests Ashfield elections. Use the campaign to get fresh people on the board of WA and eventually HBG

As soon as the independents come on board HBG loses all direct control over WT.

There are 2 positions on the HBG Board that are voted by the general membership. Those 2 positions are currently occupied by people who supported the review.

Why should they get another month? They've had a long time to implement these changes. All changes should be already well in the works and be close to be being finalised and announced.

And if members feel that the current board are failing, how can they remove those board members? They can't have jobs for life just because they want to.

Aren't applications being vetted by agency?

There may not be many suitable candidates of that calibre called for.

Few successful busy people who are passionate about a team want to get involved for an honarium.....or nothing to cop flak from a disgruntled passionate fan base.
