Stefano Utoikamanu #241

I don’t think anyone has doubts about him killing it in Melbourne but his efforts in a WT’s jersey have been nothing short of a disgrace
?

Multiple posts about him not cutting it in Melbourne?

No doubt, his form dropped off a cliff when his negotiations were all over the media. But he will be back the the Stef everyone here called for as our future captain - but because he has decided to leave he has apparently lost all ability.

I'm just not one for pettiness.

I can’t remember everyone here wanting him captain. It was stef himself who proclaimed that multiple times in the media…

Can't wait to come back to visit these hot takes when Stef is killing it at Melbourne.
Yeah well he has been a cat for us.
Five missed tackles two drop balls and about 50 run metres.
We would have been better off letting him go or at least not playing him for this game. I reckon Big Tim would have had more of a go tonight. Paps did.
If he does kick on it will only prove how much he was a cat here.

Our marquee we saved from the Eels only a few seasons ago. Powder puff. Gets owned by real forwards and even RCG was smiling all day. Tino and Haas don’t even think about this fluff ball, he is not on the radar for them as a challenge / battle. He is just the Tigers ‘big man’ and it didn’t work. Happy to eat my words if Bellamy turns him into a wrecking ball, but good luck!

Stef will be fine in Melbourne. Probably play SOO regularly, but this comment post game irks me:

"I probably haven’t trained the way they’ve trained. I think I’ll love it there, and I think I’ll be good"

How about being a leader and lifting standards at training over the last few years?

He also went on to talk about how impressive Ciraldo was. Nothing for the Tigers, not even a thanks.

Not the kind of personality who is up for the fight for a poor team, let alone be a club and pack leader. Dare say Ice has a similar attitude. See ya later.

Compare with Blaize Talagi's comments in the same article who talked up his love for Parra and the how difficult the decision had been to move.

What a dog. Hope Hunt smashes him next year.

I've defended the crap out of him this year because I felt the criticism was way over the top. I don't blame him for leaving at all.

But yesterday was completely unacceptable. Switching off like that when playing 45-50 minutes is horrible.

Hope Bellamy gives him the toughest pre season known.

I still wish him luck though, he's been the shining light in 4 atrocious years.

No, you're just an enabler of mediocrity.

I think Stefano's attitude is alot to do with not enough senior players in the squad to show him the way and pull him inline
