I think it is a deal that would work for both clubs provided we have the Top 30 spots available. Wahs have some young outside backs who are ready to take over right now. We have some who need time to develop over the next couple of years rather than be regulars week in week out (but Montoya signing doesn't fully block them out either).some stuff i heard about montoya
- wah’s to pay significant freight
- his manager approached the club
- club considering a 2 year deal , but also he is looked at as a squad player
- RTS will be moving to the wing , hence the tap from the warriors
Hard to feel negative if the Warriors are paying a good portion of the wage. The club needs as many upgrades as it can get. Turuva, Skelton, Montoya & Bird is probably one more than I had thought the club needed. But it could offer up options to move other players on as a result too. Like I've said- To'a would draw SOME interest as a Top 30 player in the NRL. Doueihi might be an attractive option for clubs on near $200k a year. I doubt the club can move Olam on 1 year in.some stuff i heard about montoya

As you say, if the money is right it's probably worth it for us for a year or two.Hard to feel negative if the Warriors are paying a good portion of the wage. Or, it just allows the club to use Bird to cover for Bateman.
Montoya will only block the way for Large and Makasini. Also Luke L will be bigger and stronger next year dont forget hes only 18 almost 19.As you say, if the money is right it's probably worth it for us for a year or two.
We were seriously short on wingers this year particularly when Tupou went down early in the season.
I can agree with adding Horsburgh if the money is right. Bird will cancel out Batemans loss and possibly provide more value as well.
If we end up going into next season having signed Hunt, Luai, Turuva, Skelton, Montoya, Bird and Horsburgh, our team looks much stronger at least on paper.

Agreed. He isnt requiredMontoya will only block the way for Large and Makasini. Also Luke L will be bigger and stronger next year dont forget hes only 18 almost 19.
Depends who he's replacing....Agreed. He isnt required
I reckon Large could possibly take Bula’s fullback position in time. He won’t stay in the NRL for centre money.Makasini and Large are seen as centres and would only have Olam / Bird in front of them?, 2 or so years blooding them would be a luxury we have never had before.
Don’t mind the Montoya talk as our Wingers have been very poor this year apart from LL coming on.
Alaimalo Staines Naden Lobb can all go we’ve seen enough
Wow tucker agrees with me what have I doneAgreed. He isnt required

No disrespect to them. Yes I'm frustrated with our current wingers but I'm not really feeling the Marcelo Montoya potential signing either..... at least not yet 😂So the To’o dream is over then
Montoya is nothing like the players you’ve just mentioned and his yardage carries are better than stonestreets. He’s athletic and he’s rough in the sense he can hit with the ball and without it. Even if he’s not a starting winger, it’s an absolute no brainer. Especially if the wahs are contributing for a yearNo disrespect to them. Honestly, with money still tied up in players like Toa, Naden and Staines, it feels like we’re just repeating the same pattern with Montoya. It’s annoying to see how we lag behind other teams in terms of outside backs. Look at teams like the Sharks and Bulldogs, or even the Titans. Their outside backs are either speedy, athletic or acrobatic, traits that are crucial in today’s game. It couldn't be more obvious that other teams are way ahead of us in this regard.
Instead of Montoya, I’d rather we wait for someone like Stonestreet, who’s off contract next year. Even try to lure him across early. That’s a player I could get excited about.
Going from this there isn't much else in the market
