Wtf is going on today ? Is there something in the air ? Like I’m surrounded by people saying and doing the most mind boggling shit ! He got knived for a reason . Tiger town is exhibit A . The prosecution rests ! He tried hard , but I’ve never seen a group of more detached people than the players were when was delivering info .
You could say it was the culture that was created by the fedora and friends , yea sure probably … but that doesn’t change his inability to connect with playing group , Jackson Hastings not included …

Haha, no offense mate, it’s a forum. Don’t count us keyboard warriors as people around you doing dumb shit. But who cares about JH? On the shite pile now. MM was given a basket case. He just won SOO. It highlights how bad we really are. Our players didn’t like him as he drove standards. We were and are still the worst run club who have the longest finals drought (and did before he came) Maybe you are being one eyed after a long lunch? 😀

It's not under 6's where you turn up at 5pm to run some kids around. The players being off was a great opportunity for Benji to get a lot of work done in regards to countless things.

Not sure how you would claim a 'common' understanding for modern era and would be interested in seeing what others think.For mine there is no way 50 years ago could be considered modern. 30 years ago or just short of, maybe, given that was approximately the dawn of professionalism and the start of 'NRL' post superleague. But I still wouldn't consider that 'modern' particularly how much the game has changed in 25-30 years.
Post 'wrestle' era of about 20 years ago I would start considering a 'modern era'. Even then we have moved past that into the 6 again era the last few years.
Not an attack on your opinion in any way just curios what others would consider 'the modern era'.

anyone saying we're in teh same position as the dogs is rubbish. Ciraldo was a defensive coach for years and has it in his blood. Benji has never been that player. He's off the cuff. Just like our teams discipline, game management, ball control and field position.

Yes, but Ive woke up with that opinion for months on end. As much as I hold that opinion I'm still not convinced sacking him at the moment is the right option.

Like Wests, 78, 79, 80 & 82, then 91, 92 & 96, with a lot of bad in between and after

Well firstly, no other coach was starring down the barrel of a potential third spoon in a row.
…and yes, without the players there he could have gotten tonnes of work done. Instead they all had a week off then returned and performed the same crappy way….a 40 point flogging to the Dragons.
