With our current roster I'd take that betWe crack the top 8 next year I'm happy 2 wager
I suppose the difference is Large expects to play in the halves and with DCE and Brooks there the only way he gets a chance is if either are injured or at SOO time. Makasini on the other hand wants to play in the centres - a position we are very light on.How do the people that said it was ridiculous for manly to tell Large he’d play first grade next year feel about Makasini’s manager confirming he was promised the same thing? I personally don’t have problems with teams doing it but a lot of people on here had different opinions
We our current roster I'd take that bet
Benji deserves the coach of the year award if he gets us to even the Top 10
If you have Skelton & Montoya starting your sets you’re off to a really good startOur top 30 is stacked for wingers. Not sure why we were ever chasing Montoya.
I still think right centre is our biggest hole as it stands. I think Turuva should be left wing and Skelton right wing. I suppose this means Olam left and Bird on the right.
Late in the season we were trying to play Staines at right centre which was a disaster.
Montoya didn't slip, we didn't really want him.

I'm beyond bitter ....as most should be by nowMate, I understand you guys are cynical & bitter and
you're an OG veteran on here, but I represent the
optimism & the next gen, sooner rather than later
I hope. We'll sort the forwards out over the summer!
Yeah..... He's way too tall.
Well apparently Turuva is coming to play centre which personally i’m not a fan ofSunia & Skelly, we're fine...

He would be smart enough to work it out that we are struggling for centres and see the opportunity. And he prefers left centre as well.If he plays well he will get a debut late in the season. My point was if telling a young player they are a chance at making a debut convinces them to stay I don’t see any problems with it if they are good enough
Turuva literally said in a podcast that Richardson and Marshall told him he’d have first crack at centre.I think people on here made up Sunia 2 centre anyway.
Theres nothing wrong with optimism, when its supported by reason. The facts are our forwards have sucked for the past 3 years and have gotten weaker. The lump of monkey turd we bought from Cronulla wont make a dent.Mate, I understand you guys are cynical & bitter and

The BBQ @ 1/2. And an unproven 5/8, love it!So Manly could have the onion and the BBQ in the halves when DCE retires?

I dunno how many times we’ve been over this.
No reason our backs can’t compete next year, as long as they are given a platform. Jury is out on that. Our top 30 is stacked for wingers. Not sure why we were ever chasing Montoya.
