Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Has anyone got any good news , re: who the club is or might be talking too , we have taken 4 big steps forward but if we don’t sign 2-3 good forwards , we will end up , right were we started , 4 steps BACKWARDS
It’s all about moving players on which I imagine is pretty impossible when they’re on leave.

Things are so bad now ..that people here can’t even be bothered making up bulls**t about who they might be signing

Cant say I have seen that before 😱

mate I'd love to be wrong, just the way I see it. Kiraz, Xerri and Tracey would be on approx $400k each, and Mann's off contract end of 2025, so they do have that money to spend if they opt to redirect it elsewhere. for the sake of this conversation, I reckon they've got around $1 million to play with to lure someone externally, with additional cash to throw at upgrades and extensions.

they look to be after a middle forward, that'll be more than enough for them to be in the mix for Thompson, Willison and others to round out their squad I'd say.
If we are never wrong then we stop learning. So there is nothing wrong with being wrong.

List A: JWH, Fanua Blake, Asofa Solomona, Josh Papalii, Haas, Tapine, Fisher Harris, May, Barnett,
List B: Paseka, Jensen, Collins, Tukeiaho.
The assumption is we keep Pole.
Ideally, we should aim for two props from list A 🙏
Plan b, One from list A, and one from list B.

Rugby League: The Kangaroos are looking to take down Tonga after Tonga pulled off a remarkable 16-12 win on an emotion-charged afternoon the last time they met.

John Bateman has been told that he will need to toe the line at the Wests Tigers next year or face the consequences amid fresh speculation over his future.
Bateman is currently in England preparing for a Test series against Samoa, having finished the season on a loan deal with Super League side Warrington.
He is due to return to the Tigers for the start of next season but there has been talk he could be on the move given his relationship with coach Benji Marshall.
Tigers chief executive Shane Richardson said Bateman’s future is in his own hands and there would be an expectation that he – along his teammates – fall into line.

“We don’t want any player who doesn’t want to be at the club for the crocodile roll that lies ahead and that applies to every player including John Bateman,” Richardson said.
“If he’s not comfortable with the club and the direction Benji is taking us, that is a decision for him.”
Bateman has two years left on a contract that is believed to pay him excess of $650,000 a season. That won’t stop the Tigers and Marshall from sending him back to NSW Cup if they feel he isn’t buying into the club’s ethos.

I think the point being made is Galvin should have never ever been selected in that rep side ahead of Brooks at 5/8.
Brooks earned his call up through a great year with Manly. When he got on the field, he showed he belonged at that level.
Lachie looked slow, lethargic, confused….way way out of his depth.
I wish they’d leave this kid alone to develop properly.
When they came up against each other at Leichhardt, Lachie shone and Brooks was worst on Ground. Luke looked sharp against a worn out and fatigued team while he was fresh. Think that as a game plan was pretty sharp thinking

I’m not sure of the exact rules mate but regardless if they are allowed to or not we all know they are 😂😂
Through indirect means.

That guy next to you at the club urinal, he’s issacs third cousin.

The three shakes of his buddy, is not a freak out weird exhibitionist tendency, it’s really an offer of $300k for Sully.

Hmm fair enough, did the perception change that much or was it a bit dormant. I have no doubt there is plenty of closet support for the tigers but it’s the public support we need. We probably just have to ride out 2025 hoping for some improvement that springboards a Nov1 26 recruitment campaign and a better 26 season.
Sure. I think the main thing is that Richo did it with them and can do it with us. The players are coming through, we just need to retain them.
