Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It’s crazy how desensitised we have become. Lodge literally stalked and threatened the life of two young women. And we’re like “yeah, we should sign him”. And it’s not just us. He’s played at 3 or 4 clubs since. Absolutely mental. No wonder Ezra and JAC get slaps on the wrist.

Packer was just as bad and we forgave him. If we don't sign him, another club will imo.

If someone has shown remorse for what they've done & a clear attempt to rehabilitate themselves are they not allowed a 2nd chance in life?

This might sound controversial, but I reckon there is a distinct difference between being out on the piss and getting into a fight as opposed to stalking, threatening young women, and breaking and entering, and trying to smash a wall down that a 9 year old boy was hiding on the other side of. Plus, with Packer, there probably isn’t a better poster boy in rugby league for rehabilitation than him, having got a Uni degree while he was inside.

His decision is weeks away supposedly, but don’t wait whole heartedly because it won’t be us
Brent Read said on the footy talk podcast that he expects the decision will be announced no later than the end of next week. So could happen anytime.

Mate it wasn't just a pub fight, he stomped on the bloke's head after he lay motionless on the ground. In terms of violence, it's up there with being as bad as it gets. Could have very easily killed him.
