Wow, didn't notice that. He's not going anywhere by the looks of it, especially given Manly's acquisition of Chee-Kam.When Bateman got reinstated on the official website, I'd say that was the biggest indicator of his club status.
Let's be honest though- who are we signing now that is better than Bateman to play that 2nd row spot next season?
A little reality- if they can all be professional, he's the best option available.
I think it is reverse psychology from the doomsdayers?Bulldogs wanted Luai but didn't get him. Hopefully the Jarome factor can lead to this signing!
Who said it was Fatties.Have we established who the 5 fatties are?
Have we established who the 5 fatties are?
I doubt the marketing team have much knowledge on who’s negotiating with other clubs. When Bateman got reinstated on the official website, I'd say that was the biggest indicator of his club status.

So, 5 Alex Lobbs.Who said it was Fatties.

That's alot of opportunities to reshape our 2026 roster.
Gus also needs a halfback but lost Luai to us and Hunt to the Roosters.May will be a bulldog, would be great to get him but can't see it. Gus needs a front rower and will make it happen.
Who says Bateman can tackle? He only got to 94.1% and that doesn't include those times he's so far out of position, or too slow to react (like Twal).I know must here hate Bateman and want him gone , but look at it this way , we can’t recruit forwards now what the hell are we going to do losing a bloke who at least can tackle , and on top of that we will be paying a big part of his contract , don’t make any sense
You’d realistically only keep 2 of those . Kit and PoleHad a quick look on the NRL website.. these are our players off contract in 2025.. top 30 and dev. players..

That was literally 2-3 weeks ago...?Saw Jack Bird on Nine News training with Roger Fabri to get some pace back. Mentioned that he is looking to get his fitness up and wants to play Lock.
Hope we can get our value out of him and his body holds up along with the new recruits.
Looking forward to seeing the draw and hope we have enough smarts now to ensure we do not play Parramatta at Commbank.
But we're not ahead on the pathways metric. Dogs finished above us in every single grade.WT thankfully started investing heavily into their pathways and junior coaching in early 2021 which was effectively the start of the rebuild. the completion of the Centre of Excellence in late 2022 was the next step, and the removal of the board and hiring of Richardson was step three.
while we're ahead on the pathways metric, Canterbury managed to sort their shit out at board level and within recruitment quicker than us, and we lost a lot of ground, which is now reflected on the ladder.
that said, there's a fair chance we'll end up ahead of the Dogs in a few years simply because we've blooded a lot of these kids, whereas Canterbury have not, which could slow their progress.
our premiership window should open from 2026, providing we make the signings and re-signings we require. I feel like, depending on the players they manage to recruit, the Dogs might have their window open for another year or two, before it shuts for a couple years and reopens again for the long run.
time will tell!
Nah he cant get slower. So, 5 Alex Lobbs.
All true except nofa. MWZ and Tinny Corey were our best.Thats actually how Ivan had us play as well. That is the reason Packer could not cope when Madge came. He was shot as a footy player along with ben m but they signed on Ivans ideas. Then he left And madge came they had to do the hard yards. Both could not do it.
Ivan has a system and it works. The hard yards ie tackles 1 to 3 sometimes 4 are done by backs. Remember how impressive nofa was under him
Ain’t anything offical yet is there?Gus also needs a halfback but lost Luai to us and Hunt to the Roosters.
And yet everyone thought he was Pat Richard’s reincarnated last off season because he was tall.Nah he cant get slower.
I have a 90 year old father and 85 old mother i would back in a foot race against him
