I agree with May and Bateman but I think we’ll sign Hetherington for 26 and if Brisbane need cash for Hunt they might let him go early. Sullivan I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed 🤞🏻

Yes, it doesn't build trust. However hard to have it both ways with contracts. When players don't earn their keep on or off the field and still legally have to get paid because of their contract, does it cause unrest?

It was most likely installed to encourage better form and he’s backed himself
To be fair to Klemmer their hasn't been any suggestion he doesent work damm hard and set a great example on and off the field.

Feels like the Bateman to Manly thing has sailed with their Chee-Kam acquisition. Might be a tense old year played out at the tigers.
Sullivan doesn't want to leave Australia. Fat contract. He will just be that useless chunk of the salary cap we couldn't get rid of.
Smith is too expensive and not a leader. Would prefer to take Hetherington for 2026 although a number of other lock options will present themselves over the next 12 months.
Would love to get Teig Wilton for the 2nd row.

I remember the knights a few years ago Reynolds ( ex melb forward )on some good form and they didn’t pick him at the end games of the season to not envoke a clause for another year

Didn’t smith do his knee and would be out for most of 2025
If we were to sign him it wouldn’t be for 25. No one would take his contract for at most half a season. He’s off contract after that and has said to his manager to not entertain anything until he returns and has a chance to talk with Roosters management. Which is why I think we’ll still sign Hetherington for 26.

No to Brandon Smith. Doesn't have the fitness to do 80 at lock. Gets gassed after 20min.
Hetherington for 2026. We are not winning the premiership so plan for 2026 now. Hetherington at 13. May at 8. Get rid of some dead wood and see where we are at.
