Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Seems like they love him at the club.
He's got better each year and hopefully continues to get better.

Can make some mistakes but he's a fantastic player who can do a job for us.
Agreed. He fixed up a lot of his short comings this year and he was one of the very few forwards that gave me confidence when he was on.

Not sure he’s a starter but he should be in the top 17 every week.

My boy not going anywhere haha:

"While Wests Tigers utility Adam Doueihi also underwent a medical assessment with the Dragons, it appears Ilias will join the club after he went through a second examination."

At least he/we tried. Ilias or him is a bit hmmm
Gawd, 🙄, we’ll never get rid of Doobie if he has to do medicals every time. We need a Flemington Car Market for footy players you can look and start her up but no medicals.

This is a perfect time to get a Major sponsor.
We seem to be in great shape and on the up for a Sponsor to join.
Richo said we are in the best shape ever for sponsors so I'm sure Richo will deliver us one as well.

This guy is heading for a statue the way his going.

Your hatred for Madge invariably shines through. He is not the world's greatest coach but he is a lot better than you make him out to be and does get results, just not with us.
I don't hate Madge. Just think he's a pretty average club coach. Last couple of years at Souths and 4 years with us is proof in the pudding. But it was pretty common knowledge he wouldn't accept he'd just been poor at Souths and lost his job, he told all and sundry it was Siebolds fault back stabbing him, among having shots about Burgess being close to Rusty.

We've tried the prop at lock for a few years now.

Find the Matamua name drop interesting.
He's got the prop size but the skills from coming through as a half... think he could really do something in the #13.

Richo alluding to body shapes looking different. I'm very interested to see who's named at lock in round 1 and hopefully its time Juzzy lives up to the hype.
My read on the Matamua comment was nothing more than Richo remembering one of the young guys' name.

Birds has come out and said he wants lock. Agree with others, the days of playing a 3rd middle at lock is gone.

The good teams (ie Penrith) have a gun link player playing 13 and that's what we need.

Def middle heavy in our roster and unless we can manufacture some edge forwards (Adam D?), i wouldn't be surprised if we tap one of our middles on the shoulder.

Be interesting who is our starting goal kicker. API is not terrible, but we need a top notch 80% plus kicker if we are going to give finals footy a shake
No offence supercoach but talk like this infuriates me.It should be part of training, kicking from all angles for all. Why most of them don't learn coming thru the grades to master something that is very simple mathematics is beyond belief, an old guy when i played ,toed it barefoot from 1/2 way all angles, nailed it every time, practice practice practice, excuse me i just wasted my sook for the day

Madge sticking the knife in to get payback is what it is. He's known through league circles for being thin skinned and vindictive

Did Madge [This word has been automatically removed] your wife? Run over your dog? Because they’re the only reasons that would make sense as to why you level this kind of BS at him.

The man has coached and won at every level (NRL, Super League, Origin, NZ). The only place he failed was here after he was handed a team with no salary cap, little autotomy over recruitment, a front office that frequently sabotaged recruitment efforts and ultimately, a director of football white anting him. How many coaches would be able to overcome that?

But I know you love to ignore all those things because it doesn’t fit the BS narrative in your head. So keep on spreading the lies ( yes, lies because I know quite a few players who have played under him, including Souths and Tigers players, and while some did criticise his hardstyle coaching, none of them questioned his character)

A mistake? more like multiple... a game!

His mistakes are also very stupid and basic... He never seems to learn from them which is the biggest issue. He is always banging his head and carrying on after each one as well.

Because we've been so bad for so many years, i feel as though many of our fans try to convince themselves that Seyfarth is good because he 'puts in the effort' or has one good game in every 5. Just enough to convince everyone hes turned a corner.

In reality, he's a good depth player and a 6.5/10 who is capable of a 8/10 performance 3-4 times a year. Unfortunately we are used to most of our players being a 4/10, especially the last 3 seasons.

I wont pull words from your wife's mouth ,but you just dont understand me.lol,im chilled, really how hard can putting a ball between two sticks be ,yet it seems to be a lack of talent amongst professional league players.

Cant agree more. The team that starts playing a lock that is good defensibly but can also play like an alternate 5/8 ( like the Jim Dymocks from years ago) will become a force to be reckoned with.
