OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

[Kaito]

If it was the only way to get him over the line, what can you do. It’s where we are at a club ATM.

Pretty shitty these things get leaked to the media though

Yep. We got him over the line. Who cares, he's here
for 2 years - typical doomers on here already talking
about him signing elsewhere without him even lacing
up a boot lol. Brown at Parra has clauses in his
contract every year for 6 years, so what. You can
always re-visit the contract later, we got our damn man!

“Doomers” hilarious 😅

Don't be such an emo. He's with us for 2 years at LEAST

[Kaito]

If we crash & burn in those 2 years we deserve it smh.

Really? If he signs with someone next November, he’s going to be worth having in 26?

I'm not looking that far into the future man, honestly.
too many variables, I want to stay in the present.
How Benji & the team perform will go a long way
towards whether he stays the 5 & Galvin extends...

[tigermate]

It’s crash and burn - first 10 games of next year

If galvin doesn’t extend - pressure on benji - wheels start falling off - galvin signs elsewhere November 1 - and then luai could too.

Wow.

I don’t even know how galvin extends now until he knows he luai will.

Why would he.

What a cluster f%#*

You watch ....we will lose Latu Fainu as well ...

Good news for Bud then ..he’ll still be here a few more years

Explains why’s reluctant to leave. Knows there will be a spot for him soon.

[gallagher]

It seems to me Luai is in the box seat to pick our next coach.

Positivity, thank you.

How would he know ? He was already gone when he signed

[Telltails]

We are paying him a small fortune if he doesnt provide the impact his salary demands the club may very well be agitating to move him on - re Bateman.
If he does make a significant difference then that will go toward him taking up the option and being paid very well on the back of it. Either way club and player will be looking after their own best interests.

Well the great Richo agreed to this clause , so November next year we could lose him and galvin , so much for starting a new culture Richo , let players walk when ever it suits them . I have sort of lose interest for next season , this is just bad news for us fans

FFS a three game winning streak and you’ll have a boner, give it a rest.

[Telltails]

A lot of dramatics.
Can guarantee if he doesn't live up to expectation on his salary no one will be wanting him to signed up for 5 yrs.

[Tiger_claws]

Why is everyone so shocked. The clauses are simply security blanket for Romey. I don’t question his commitment for one second. His manager would have been crazy not to have some sort of fall back. Romey hasn’t flinched once when media ran the old “do you regret signing with Tigers routine”. He actually spoke more positively the harder they tried baiting him. The bloke is the ultimate competitor. Nothing changes in my opinion.

Does anyone know how to contact Stefani? We might need the Onesie and handbag back in 2026 if Luai decides to have a contact-free gap year. I think Luai has more integrity than to tank a season to protect his retirement fund but this has become the recurring reality of WT's recruitment.
