I obviously cannot do that, and neither can anyone on here. We just found out he has a clause after Richo claimed that wouldn’t be happening anymore and that’s what is pissing people off.

Someone can probably post the quotes, in my recollection he said Stefano’s clauses about origin selection and missing finals were ridiculous.

I doubt he said player options are off the table.

Don’t buy into it . It’s all bullshit driven by news limited . Like others have said . If he wants to go , he’d get out anyway . The club will be built around him , he’ll probably be in the retention committee lol ( he won’t ) .
I don’t think it’s worth worrying about before he’s even come back from leave and done 1 training session .
You never know , he might take it up halfway through this year .
honestly he and Galvin are being given the keys to the kingdom . I can’t see him giving that up . It’s the number 1 reason IMO why Moses won’t leave parra . It’s his team . Manly is DCE until it’s Turbos , Ponga has newy , Walsh has the broncos , Deardon the cowboys etc.
I truely believe Luai is coming to his club of his youth to turn them around . It would be like if someone on here , was good enough to do it . That’s what I think the buy in will be from day 1 .

This is a legacy project for him. Leaving would be a failure.
 
How do you have a contract that lets you get out of a contract? Seems weird to me. Anyway given the choice between two guaranteed years or zero I’d take the former. His signing has been the catalyst for a massive shift in how the club is perceived. Now if we can just win some footy games…
 
There are no reports on what the contract clauses actually say and what would trigger it.

If it is as simple as 3 player options for the last 3 years, then that is different to, for example a coach clause or some other trigger.

Now that it has leaked, it would be good for Richo to get on the front foot and explain what would trigger such an event.

It was reported that Luai can walk after years 2,3,4. & 5. No triggers, he has an option in his favour.

We all know what a shit show the club has been. Smart management on his agents part.

Winning fixes everything. Make finals, sit down and take the clauses out, or adjust them.
