Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

does anyone know what Miller's arbitration hearing trying to achieve maybe more money or allowed back in top 30 or possible downgrade to T&T.

I’d imagine Miller is wanting compensation for the sacking and feels he has grounds. I believe the club probably wouldn’t accept him back under any circumstances so they’re more likely to pay him out if he wins his case.

Twal I'd keep all day long. Bloke is super consistent in defence and there's nothing wrong with his yardage. Shane Flanagan said in commentary the other season. Every team needs an Alex Twal

Ridiculous comment, we don't all have the time to watch NRLW or lower grades
thanks @upthetigers.

I’m happy for the club there is a women’s team, but I don’t go to Maccas to order a salad.

You don't have to pay attention, if you're a member of the club you know who she is.
Misogynistic #%$ers aren't wanted at this club.
Relax bro! Who are you to gatekeep tigers fandom ! What’s next , “ you’re not a real fan unless you watch KOE” . What about , “ can’t name the squad for wests nd Balmain Harold Matt’s, as if you’re a real fan “
It’s stupid , and virtue signalling nonsense to even imply that sexism has anything to do with it .
I know who most of the squad are , and found it really tough to allocate time to nrlw , and if anything , I was more drawn to other teams , who have players who used to be my daughters teachers / instructors . Due to those connections , I’d watch it as a a way to get my daughter to engage with nrl , for obvious reasons .
If I didn’t have that connection I doubt I’d watch any Nrlw. It’s an inferior product . In saying that ,It’s probably the best women’s sports league in Australia , but it’ll never achieve the heights of the male sports leagues . And that’s ok, it doesn’t need to . But shaming people because it didn’t capture their attention is beyond rich IMO. Just makes you come across as a bit of a wanker .

Shows you are not a real Wests Tigers supporter , SHE was a great part of the start of our ladies side of footy
I’m a multi year auto member, yes I know she plays footy for us but that’s it. I would rather watch men’s z grade cricket then women play league, and I don’t have the time to watch every Tom, Dick, or Harriette play football just bcoz the NRL feel they have to shove it down my throat.
Does that make me less of a Tigers supporter?

I'm still peeved they pushed reserve grade off tv - bah humbug, up until 3 yrs ago it was a better game than the mens. Watched Upton became a star ,SOO at Nth Syd Oval, better, because they played like we did as kids, now they just wrestle/get in the face of the ref.Boring

At least the women have a crack and go hard, the amount of NRL games I've watched where the blokes just look disinterested and get paid huge coin was a few games every week. Look at Stefano some games he played he was not interested. The ladies have a point to prove and try their guts out. Yep, not polished and a few years away I agree, but some of the NRLW games were better viewing than the men's games by a long way.
Not polished, you see them fail to execute basic skills that kids learn in under twelves.

They’ve commercialised it too soon and it’ll be interesting to see if it kicks on. Crowds would have to be a concern, it’ll depend how TV ratings trend into the future.

Anyone who takes to an NRL pitch (males) has dedicated years of their life and sacrificed a great deal to reach that level. They’re in the top <0.001% of all who tried to play the sport.

There’s a big difference.

I'm sexist because I don't watch NRLW. Fmd people get offended by everything nowadays.
I really don't want to get dragged into this but you're being a bit disingenuous here. I'm not terribly interested in NRLW, I'm not ashamed to admit it and I would be stunned if anyone called me sexist for it. I do, however, vaguely know who my club's most famous women's player is. I'm a member so I get club communications, I've been to the website, I even went to an NRLW game - it wasn't for me, but as a follower of the club it would be pretty hard at this stage to have completely missed everything about the women's team.
