Worth every cent to get rid of him. What are we paying now though for them to be elsewhere? $500 - $600k next 2 years? Big chunk of the cap.

Runs hard, tackles hard, doesn't stop. Yep.Is Bullemor available? I’d take him.
Staines is a backup if he believes it or not. Good luck to him.I am not sure that Staines sees himself as a back-up. Reckon he will look for greener pastures at the end of his contract.
If people don't want Sukkar I think we could turn Pole into a rampaging backrower he's big and strong enough.I know its been tried before minimally but I think it could work and we have enough middles."International back rower". Dear god the semantic lengths people will go to to make it sound like Bateman is anything other than dead weight on a roster are hilarious.
BWG just the mention of the name Wakeham scores the he'll out of me _I reckon one very important spot we have to fill for next season if/when Bud departs is a NSW Cup halfback. I am serious that it's important.
Thinking that Latu Fainu will play his natural 5/8 position but probably given scope to be the main field kicker to develop this part of his game. Plus some posters have mentioned that Doeuihi likely to focus on centre.
The only options from within that Aaron Payne could look at James Valevatu or if he's ready to step up from Flegg Max Liles who is training with Cup this pre-season as part of his development.
Valevatu provides effort & leadership and likely to miss his favoured hooker position with Tristan Hope, Kobie Wilson, Bailey Hodges (and TDS at times) in the mix.
Liles is a smokey and was very good for Flegg at the back-end of last season, brings a bit of game management & kicking game but lacks in experience.
I wonder if we would go down the path of bringing back Brandon Wakeham just on a Cup deal to be our full-time halfback in Cup for his game management, kicking game & experience. Managed by Tartak too.
Thoughts?

Yes a really fit and trim Tim would be a gun back rower , he has size , adaptability,,runs hard , the other one I heard was Adam Eliot free to leave Newcastle if he finds a clubYep I have a feeling Tim Johannssen would be a revelation in the backrow. I know @jrtiger strongly believes middle is his future but I just have one of those gut feels that this guy is a winner & would adapt like a duck to water with his attributes physically, in fitness & effort, and voice. Just a feel I have lol
Tim J. MaybeSo in lieu of Bateman going, who takes his place, Seyfarth?
😂 Once upon a time you cleaned out ya lockerBud Sullivan instagram deactivated, think announcement must be imminent
Would be ideal for us but just one problem, managed by Isaac Moses lolRuns hard, tackles hard, doesn't stop. Yep.
I know, same here. But purely as a NSW Cup signing, he'd be good for the Magpies and excel at Cup level. We'd then have a spine in NSW Cup with ...BWG just the mention of the name Wakeham scores the he'll out of me _
because Tartak and Sione were promised that the next available spot would be given to them. you can't just walk that back.'Upsetting' the Fainus...
How would they be upset?
We've been paying 3 of them to only get any value at all from just 1.
One of them barely struck a match last year (or the year before)
and came back from holidays fat and slow...
They'd be doing very well to take issue with the club.
hey've all got a job, they're all getting paid.
Our listed back rowers are S. Fainu, Tumeth and Sukkar....
Parra were the closest team to us last year, and theirs are
Cartwright, Kelma, Guymer, Williams, Matterson, Lane and Doorey.....
To say we're a 'bit' short is an understatement.
please. held hostage. Also, the implication that the club is now held hostage due to having 3 brothers at the club is a bit insulting. @jrtiger if you really believe that, you must not think Richo is a very good administrator.
Naden could do the job at 7 I'd like to see Mason at 6 he's got great speed and I don't think he's a fullbackI know, same here. But purely as a NSW Cup signing, he'd be good for the Magpies and excel at Cup level. We'd then have a spine in NSW Cup with ...
Fullbacks - Mason (Staines, Naden)
5/8 - Fainu (Doeuihi, Ackland, Mason, Naden)
Hooker - Hope/Hodges (TDS, Wilson)
Pretty good if we can complement it with an experienced half. Not many on the market who would accept just a Cup contract.
I'd buy Bullemor tomorrow.a two year deal for a first grade-ready backrower is the logical move for all parties. Ethan Bullemor is probably the ideal candidate. I'm also pretty keen on Simi Sasagi.
means we aren't blooding any of the above too early. Sukkar's the furthest down the development path of those you mentioned and even he hasn't done a full year on an edge in Cup. that's what he needs in 2025.
in regards to the lower-end players you mentioned leaving, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's a few teams that come knocking in January. the club seemed fairly confident that would happen. Staines and Naden would probably field a few offers.
Richardson promised Tartak and Sione that the latter would be given a spot in the top 30 as soon as one became available
I’m sure he knows what’s best. Who are you to doubt him?please. held hostage.
Richardson promised Tartak and Sione that the latter would be given a spot in the top 30 as soon as one became available. if you walk that back then you're going to struggle to regain trust.
