Master Bateman for anytime try scorer in Round 13 against us, put the house on it. Every year we lose to a team inspired by a plodder with a chip on their shoulder. Special shout-outs to Aloiai and Leilua.

I was one of those ! I can’t believe how badly I got the Bateman signing wrong . I genuinely thought it was Ricky who was the problem . Turns out Bateman is toxic with a capital T .Remarkably, its the same people shitting on it now who were loudly championing it back then.
Olam will spend more time in crutches than he will playing centre in 2025 though I really hope he proves me wrong and he plays 20 plus blinders . He's a crock, Melbourne knew it & I still don't understand WT signing him.I reckon May would be a better option at lock than Bird. I would have Bird in the centres with Olam. We would still have a prop rotation of Hunt, Klemmer, Pole, Sione Fainu and Twal. To me the biggest issue is second row.
As long as referees don't go giving penalties (when we are up by one) within kicking distance to our opposition after the bell!We always do well against the cowboys that trend will be continuing lol
Thankyou Johnny Boy, don't let the door hit your lazy fat angry Pommy arse on the way out!!Wests Tigers release John Bateman

Bateman played 32 NRL games for Wests Tigers in two seasons after joining the club on a four-year-deal ahead of the 2023 season.
Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson has thanked Bateman for his services.
“On behalf of everyone at the club I want to thank John and wish him all the very best with his future.”
Does anyone really know what farewelling Bateman is costing us?
To me, he is a bit like Junior Tupou going to the Dolphins, hard to see how he fits in and gets a start with the players they currently have.Bateman's a good player. Overpaid by us and probably good value on reduced contract to cowboys. I don't think we have a better option on our books, but ultimately clearing players from our poor performing squad is good. He never got through a decent offseason with us. Surprised that cowboys want him with their forwards, does he make them better?
Totally agree. Now on to the feats of strength and, my personal favourite, the airing of grievances. It's a Festivus miracle!!
LOL so? He beat us elsewhere.
Not when it mattered....
You serious? He was diabolical in that first game. Go back and read the forum . People wanted him hooked at half time .Actually started the year quite well next to Galvin. As the season went on and the losses piled up, his attitude clearly went to crap. Played with the anger and immaturity of a rookie most weeks and ended up being very costly
Great work from the club to sack him off. Slowly but surely overhauling our roster.
Heard on radio this morning he hasn't seen it a contract at Btadford, Wigan, Canberra and WTs... Cool record, I see a common denominator
Left more clubs on bad terms than Jackson Hastings.Heard on radio this morning he hasn't seen it a contract at Btadford, Wigan, Canberra and WTs... Cool record, I see a common denominator
Say what you want about him now, but he was class at the Raiders. It was an understandable signing, however 4 years was always ambitious. He has never lasted till the end of his contract anywhere, even more telling not one of his coaches have ever said that they wanted him back
