they’re gonna be fun to watch in SG Ball this year but we have to be patient with them. they’ve got a lot of growing still to do, from both a physical and developmental perspective.

I think Latu Fainu needs to be in our 17. Would love to see him come in at hooker. Good experience for him and with his skills could be a real threat.

Alternatively, I’d like to see him in the centres with some space.

Agreed, we have to find away to play our best players and I think both Latu and TDS need to be in the top 17 more often than not.Obviously injuries and suspensions will give the opportunities but I can’t see either of them being content to play in Reggie’s week in and week out

Api should not go 80.
We have 2 years of evidence to support that statement. We have many years of data before he came even here to support that statement.
TDS has to be on the bench as cover and should be getting 25 minutes per week. He has spent his time in reserves getting ready.
Latu needs to do the same in 25

Seen a bit of TDS over the past few years and I rate him, don’t see any Michael Lichaa in him. He is still a work in progress, but I think he has a bright future, of course there are no certainties in the NRL

I’ve had personal experience in both Lodge and Mam’s situations (so not coming from a high horse), and I feel very strongly that Lodge should not have been afforded the privilege of returning to our great game. But in saying that there has been a few others that should have been wiped out too, but as I said the NRL can’t make a moral decision.
A mate of mine did 3 years for pretty much the same as Mam, it will be interesting to see the outcome.

I think what api needs is for the other forwards to step up and do more defence so api can do more work with the ball his ball work last season was well below his best , just because he was making far to many tackles

Broederlow is slow and lazy. Reports were he dominated Flegg early last season, but I thought he was poor stepping up to Cup vs men. Lack of size, speed and urgency was really evident.

I feel they had to sign either him or Zak Clarke, and decided to go with Broederlow based on his tackle busting Flegg form. Seems now that they picked the wrong one, and Penrith were quick to snap up Clarke. Decision not to sign Clarke seems even more of an error given the edge forward depth chart at the club right now. A big hole, and as the next cabs off the rank, I don’t think Sukkar, Tumeth, or Broederlow are up to it.

Is it true the club has signed Anthony Watmough’s son, Jake, to a cup deal? Was in the Manly system and won a SydneyShield premiership last season with his old man as coach. Could be a roughie. Looks like a strapping lad about 6’2”.

I kind of expected Zak to leave after his brother departed for Melbourne. Seemed like they didn't trust the system to bring the best out of Cooper and possibly the same for Zak. I don't know if we would have been able to do a lot to keep him to be fair.

I agree that Broederlow wasn't great in Cup....but outside of Timmy J, no one was. Happy to give Broederlow time and see if he can improve his game. If he doesn't in the next couple of years, he doesn't go beyond a development contract and leaves to go elsewhere.

Come on ur blaming Bateman for everything that went wrong at the club , I guess he also was the cause the nsw team got thrashed nearly every week , be real , yes he was poor in attack but his defence was good now we got to fill that gap with kids who can’t tackle , YES a thorn is gone but really we are worse if in defence

He’s a competitor for sure but was bog average for us overall. Definitely short in back row experience but even where we are now is massively ahead (on paper of course). 25 is a progress year I think (hope!) we go much better. I won’t be surprised if Galvin leaves whether we come 12th, 10th or 8th. I just hope L Fainu has a big year and Romey buys in regardless

Lodge was completely out of his mind on sleeping tablets. I’m not excusing his actions.

I met Lodge at the airport a few years back. He was a really nice (large) human. If you have ever taken Stillnox (Ala Aussie swim team), with some grog in you as well and push through sleeping, you go batty. What he did is so terrible but he’s paid his dues for me. He’s an intelligent guy that made a (huge) mistake. Most are prepared to take May if he’s cleared and I know lodge is no May - But I actually think Lodge would be good for culture - he’s a different guy now. A senior head that has made life mistakes and paid for them.

When managed by Moses they never stay unless wildly overpaid like Brooks.we need to be cognizant of this in our handling of Latu
Other issue is Galvin has allegedly grown another 2cms but added only 1kg.....body shape will be a challenge sooner or later in the halves

I don’t get that. One drove high and unlicensed and almost killed someone or others. One got drunk / high and did similar. The violence is the difference for me, and a family with kids involved. Both are acts of madness though.
