Lee was no victim ! He was paying 1m for a sponsorship worth more , and milked it for every last dollar . His incompetence around contract negotiations , which people can call naivety, was enough to undermine his position .
Then there’s the revenue fudging , and membership numbers , and the fiscally irresponsible persuasion of getting the club to retain Nofa , it’s a long list of reasons he was put in front of the firing squad .

We just have to hope the playing structure of WT remains shielded from the board machinations- so far they have been. Yes, the crapshow gets media attention and is of concern but as long as the players themselves get no knock on effects Benji and Richardson should be able to separate the 2 things in discussions with players and managers. If the side then starts to get off the bottom of the table and shows progress, it must put pressure on the Board to get itself sorted,

Yes, you should avoid even walking around the rocks when the ocean is above 6ft its not just the waves to look out for, but the sea can surge and if its above waist high you will end up in the drink and in a lot of trouble.

They want control of Wests Tigers and with the review as I’m lead to believe , Wests Tigers would have a different group running the footy board , people with brains , knowledge of footy , respected people , these idiots on HBG board won’t qualify so they will just try and take it , Romero , Burgess and the 2 fleas supporting them have just shown what sort of grubs they are , a coup , then remove anyone who supported the reviews which they now have done , I suspect if this keeps going , Richo and Barry will walk again giving Romero and co exactly what they want , puppets they can control

HBG unfavourables will be feeling the heat now with the negative press another potential review directed at them hopefully they will wake up to themselves.
He was a casualty when the board was dismissed last year.
His spot on the board is now with a HBG cronie - Burgess or Montgomery. One of them represents HBG, the other Wests Magpies, but they're both debenture holders at HBG and on the HBG board. This gives them 2x positions on the current WT board. The other two or O'Farrell (chairperson and independent - but probably seen as sympathetic to Balmain Tigers), and Stapleton (BTRLFC). Who knows, maybe if a true independent other than O'Farrell was on the board, HBG wouldn't feel as threatened.

Richo is not the type to walk without a fight. Even though as the CEO who reports ultimately to these muppets, he will have a few cards to quietly play behind-the-scenes if required.
Turning this club around (including corporate governance) could become his greatest achievement.

For me the key recommendations to be implemented are the independent directors appointed, the constitutional change to allow that to happen and I would like to see the progress of implementation of the recommendations externally reviewed which was a recommendation that was blocked from occurring.
