You’re supposing this is a widespread opinion amongst Balmain Board members. I’d suggest the reality is one or a few guys who love expressing their fantasies to the media.

So, with this being the case, Balmain probably wouldn't be the dominant partner in a JV with Kea Tigers in Sth. Isl. New Zealand.
But then I guess the door is still open to get $6 million from the A.R.L. to relocate.

That NZ bid (that has already failed) have reached out to a lot of clubs, not just 'Balmain' (who have about $2 to rub together BTW).

But aren't Kea already the Tigers. It would have to be a match made in heaven.
Another poster suggested the alternate name for our JV as Bushrangers will or should cut out all the squabbling over a name, and I really thought it was an amazing idea. It showed lateral thinking.
The idea didn't get into even near-earth orbit, which I think suggests to me Balmain are gonna stay as the Tigers in the JV, come what may even though they don't have 2 x 2-shilling pieces to rub together as you said.

Cool … I was having some concern for a second …

Assume that someone at the NRL or WT will let us know then that the Balmain Kea and Wests Magpies playing each other Round 1 2026 in Vegas isn’t likely to happen
