How about this. Instead of being antagonistic towards the HBG, perhaps look into setting up a Supporters Trust and offering to work with the football club.

These are very popular in the UK (ManUtd supporters trust has a quarter of a million members!). I am a member of 2x supporters trusts and are in place for many football, rugby and cricket clubs.

It's never been done here before to my knowledge, but this would give you something to look at instead of ranting and petitioning and could be a groundbreaking achievement

Some sporting organisations allow the supporters trust to present to the board, and sit in on some board members. Some sporting organisations invite the trust to appoint a board member.

It has been tried several times and it tends to break down whenever the club management changes, which at Tigers is every 4-5 years.

It's firstly difficult to bring together disparate groups of fans who have different ideas of what they would like changed (specific ideas, not just "win more football matches"). Then you engage with the club and hope they care to give you the time and attention.

My experience a few years back was Pascoe and his team were willing to give us a good amount of time and work towards a semi-official support group, we had a charter drawn up etc and we talked with other support groups... it was going somewhere but slowly.

But it was also clear that Pascoe's main intention was to sell memberships rather than give us any kind of vote or representation. They were upfront about it, I don't complain and it wasn't a negative experience. Of course now Pascoe is cut and a lot of that currency has been lost, although some members in here did manage to develop extra connections, I don't think we are anywhere towards getting a supporters trust officially in place.

Of course you reference clubs like Man Utd and also my club Spurs, but they are no comparison to Wests Tigers, we can't even get Nike to make our guernseys because we won't ship enough units.

One thing I don’t do is crap on about things I don’t know , and I don’t know every rule in the book , from experience what I have said I believe is fairly accurate, unlikes rules have changed , my time as a director and treasurer were 2010 to 2016 , 3 x 2 year terms

HBG have been throwing around their numbers ignoring good governance processes on the Magpies & WT boards for years. Now it's their own board. The Petition/review into HBG is long overview and only a few but very vocal fanbois like yourself and BZN are supporting them.

You and your mate demand justification from all, however once it's provided and doesn't suit your narrative, it's fobbed off with a laugh emoji? I suppose it's apt, considering that's how HBG have been running the joint over the past 6 years.
 
I’m wondering what impact this is having on the players, especially the new recruits. They knew we had some problems but this is a biggy ! Just hope we can sort things out before the season starts.
When I was involved in footy there was an old saying that nobody was bigger than the club itself. Let’s hope that’s the case in 25. Attention Board, Stop bringing us down and let’s try and lift ourselves up.
Or am I being naive , again ?

It would be having ZERO effect. Unlucky if any of them actually know what's going on.

They would rock up to work, do what they need to do to prepare for the season, and roll on to the next day.

It's not an excuse to derail the season, and shouldn't be used as one. Manly have had plenty of boardroom/ownership stoushes over the years, including their most recent competitive era.

Surely as you can see I answer questions and post often enough.

Can't say same for people your backing.
