Why are we waiting till 2026 , we need players in the backrow now , we let papa and Bateman leave , yet not a replacement, we will get run over unless someone falls out of sky

Yep , I feel with the players who have joined us Benji may feel , centre and right back row will sort it self , meaning players like Seyfarth and Sukkura may have enough support now with a stronger pack to be able to play at the level required , Luai driving , Appi Skemming , Galvin skemming , Big Sam on the left with Luai and front row power we haven’t had for years may be enough , Seyfarth was improving every game last season , just centre for me and With - Staines , Turuva , Skelton , Naden , AD , Toa ,Olam I think we are ok ,

Any club willing to put a coach clause into a contract is putting a noose around their neck. Especially a coach as unproven as Benji. It would be downright insane.

I’m going to say that there would be 99.9% chance of there not being one. Imagine we’ve won two games after 10 rounds and Benji’s job is untenable. He gets sacked, and Luai announces he wants out by round 12? There’s no way.

I don't think there is cap space for a backrower of any quality now as well as the obvious problem of no one known to be available (not that I don't think we should be making enquiries about other clubs depth guys).
Even for 2026 there is probably only the space for one big name recruit once potential upgrades are factored in and still few available before shaking trees.

I think those sorts of clauses could only work at clubs like Melbourne, Penrith and the Roosters, where the coaches have stability. Clubs like ours, it’s a revolving door of coaches. The position is as stable as the door that Jack tried to lay on with Rose.

What do you think of Benji's chances of making it as a coach he seems smart enough been around football for a while spent time with Bennet, last year was poor but you could blame that on the cattle.

Let’s just say it’s now or never for him. He has the squad and there should be no excuses. With Richo claiming that anything below a top 10 finish is a failure, it will be interesting to see the fallout from that if the coach doesn’t deliver.

Mate it didn't take long for me to learn to be careful of what you post it's like going for a swim in the Amazon there could be a school of hungry piranha's waiting for you, I hope he succeeds the last thing the club needs is a failed club legend.
