I think we’re in for a good year. But i’ll call a spade a spade when it comes to the last 3 years. Sure, I can except we have been building to the future. But no amount of building for the future excuses 3 consecutive spoons. That’s just being a poorly run club.

It is. But they changed absolutely everything after 2023 off the back of a fan inspired movement. We WERE a poorly run club.

Doesn’t mean a thing until we start getting results. Which is definitely not a given.

That’s fair enough. I’m willing to award points based on the hope they’ve already inspired in the fan base. I haven’t had it since there was talk of us nabbing Chin jnr.

eems like AD has been put into the side simply because he can goal kick, with Api missing round 1. Not a first grader, and a terrible centre at that. Benji stuffing up already with a good team

I expect people to understand kids take time to reach their prime. I don’t think it’s now or never, I think we’ll improve though.

The young ones were put in our top side to test them out and give them a taste of whats required in NRL sides.
Our KOE side was crap and the NRL side were heading for another spoon.
A calculated gamble and test for those players. Not pretty short term; but a picture of our weeknesses and what players we need to recruit.
The big picture of where we need to be.
I think we have done extremely well recruiting and 2026 will be even better. 🙏

I agree. Benji wore the punches well, last year was an obvious building year. The judgement arrives this year for mine.

Idk about anyone else, but i get tired of us having a really young squad as being one of the excuses why we have struggled. A young squad has been one of the side affects of being a poorly run club. No team can compete when their average age is 21-22.

So you are tired of the excuse that having a young squad is a reason why we have struggled. And then say no team can compete when their average age is 21-22. Isn’t that agreeing with the excuse?

Notwithstanding having an unbalanced squad was self inflicted, it is still a factor in our poor results.
