Remembering the very l8vely Dave Bolton. 3 yrs passed now

VALE - David Bolton

Balmain Tigers are deeply saddened at the passing of Balmain Tiger No 573, David Bolton.

Bolton joined Balmain in 1965 from Wigan, having made 300 appearances for the English powerhouse. He played 78 first grade games for Balmain from 1965-1970, scoring five tries, kicking seven goals and 21 field goals.

Most famously he started at halfback in the 1969 Premiership winning team, kicking two field goals in the win. As part of the Centenary of League celebrations in 2008 the Clive Churchill Medal was retrospectively awarded for man-of-the-match performances from season 1954, resulting in Bolton being awarded the Clive Churchill Medal for the 1969 Grand Final.

In 2005, David Bolton was inducted into the Balmain Tigers Hall of Fame.

Balmain Tigers would like to send our deepest condolences to David's family and friends at this difficult time.

Actually, today would have been Michael's 65th birthday.
