The difference between this year and previous years is no one is coming to save them .
Walker and smith won’t be back until the end of the year , and Walker is such an enigma with his form , that who knows which player returns .
It wasn’t that long ago he had been dropped and was being whispered about being on the transfer market .
Collins and Chricton will need to lift this year or they are in all sorts of problems .
Teddy looked a step behind as well . For the first time he looked like a crafty fullback .
Like what you’d describe wade mckinnon at the end of even Gutho right now .
I think the big thing is they were banking on a slew of roster upgrades , and they were in on all the big names out there the past 6-12 months . Robson being the only one they nabbed .
I’m not death riding them , as money talks , but the shine has started to dim lately .
If they ever lose that narrative of being an elite club , then it’s tough going for them , as the shine of paying 3 mil to live in a 2 bedroom townhouse near the worst beach in NSW , starts to not be a thing anymore .
 
Was only thinking what a damaging player Leniu is but if he doesn't do something about his discipline he could play a major part in derailing the Roorters season.

I know a lot of people would love to have him over here but we already tend to be ill disciplined enough without paying big dollars for the possibility of making it even worse.
 
Knights left edge was given far too much room to operate, but equally the chooks got their front doors smashed in. Considering how much quality they have in the pack that should be a massive concern for them. If we play conservative and force the knights to do the same it will bode well for us. Can't wait to see what Luai adds to this team.

People acting like a jilted ex lover, trying to convince themselves that Stef's new flame isn't that hot. He is on to bigger and better things, probably a premiership this year, like it or not.

His game will go to new levels at Melbourne, doesn't change the fact he was a flop here.

Rather than death ride the guy, people would be better off trying to reflect on why we couldn't get the best out of Stef but Melbourne will. Was it down to Stef? The club? Or a bit of both?
 
Any word on David Klemmer anywhere , was all over the sport news last week but since Friday nothing , if he is still with us would he be in your 17 this week , I would have him in and starting with May , you can’t have a player like him sitting in the crowd waiting for a new club , he is better than both Kitt and Sione and if I had to pick out of Klemmer and Twally I would take Klemmer he is great in defence and just keeps going .

Bateman got away with some cross field crabbing, it won't happen every game.

Still can't make a line break. Again, he was on big money with us and the output didn't match the salary. NQ have him for about $350k a season which works for them. We didn't.

How was Bateman toxic?
Sure we didnt get the best out of him. That is true for most guys who have played for his club lately, including Stef.
It was the right decision to let Stef go as he wanted too much money. Bateman though? None of us know what has happened there.

He got away with running cross field in a trial, when the real stuff starts someone will line him up and smash him, can feel a head knock coming on for Johnny at some time.
 
Just had a look over at Galvin and Latu’s contracts and just realised hopefully by the end of the year or come beginning of next year we will know our future halves.

Come November only Galvin will be allowed to negotiate a contract, Latu is still under contract till 2027 negating his ability to discuss a contract unless permission is given. My best bet is simply Tigers at the end of this year say to Galvin “this is the contract, we want you here but we need a decision by…” Once they get his decision Latu’s future would be made clear. Unless Latu is willing to switch to a lock, which I doubt, he will have an important decision to make. Though the same is said with Galvin if he is willing to switch, which again I doubt.

As for a personal opinion I’m still on camp Latu Fainu over Galvin. I just rate him as a better and more talented footballer. Though this does not takeaway from Galvins extremely great talents as well. Both are immensely talented players and any team would be blessed to have both on their roster. I just can’t wait to see them both fight for it this year.

The judge thing was a play on words related to the "trial," which is why I deleted all the preceding parts of your post.

I understand exactly what your view was, so to avoid any confusion, next time I will just include you as a member of the jury so that you don't shoulder all of the responsibility on your own, you know, like 11 other fine upstanding citizens loyal and true, guided by the judge and the evidence that has been presented. 👍
