Strange, though. Thought her voice was magnificent in The Seekers but not so much as a solo artist.
These days, it's so expensive to have repairs done.
Crazy.
(really sad here, Gene Hackman's early movie "I never sang for my father" was a pivotal movie in my younger years)

My introduction to Gene Hackman was in The French Connection as Detective Popeye Doyle, great movie, great actor.

He actually won the Academy Award in 1971 for best actor as Popeye Doyle.
I remember watching the movie at Dapto drivein back in the dim dark past.

He was an awesome villain in any movie. I can't say I ever saw a Gene Hackman movie I haven't enjoyed. Another quality actor from a time when movies told great stories is gone.(really sad here, Gene Hackman's early movie "I never sang for my father" was a pivotal movie in my younger years)

Unforgiven was a a classic with Clint but my favourite was Crimson Tide with Denzel Washington.
Man I loved that movie.
I'll be at Defcon 1 all day.
