Tigers have created some significant cap space for next season. Bateman, Papali'i, Klemmer & Utoikamanu off the books- I suspect there is a big target on the radar that the club puts a bunch of money into.

Probably not for this season- I'm talking next season onwards.

Still believe Richo will see Greg Inglis potential in Cobbo.
Yeah I was thinking about Cobbo to. We would have the space if Olam goes.

Cobbo can play a few positions.

I just saw this.

Honestly justifies the hate he receives, and proves without a doubt he was a cancer in the changing rooms. Wild from a 'senior' player.
How does that show he was a cancer?
He obviously has the backs of his mates
Clearly doesn’t think much of Richo, but no mention of Benji.

Stating the obvious, but I think Bateman's post shows that things were very bad last year. No idea whose fault that is, but obviously Klem and Bateman were very unhappy...and it showed in their play. Papalii also very eager to get out.

Were they the old jaded blokes having a whinge when someone tries something different? Or were they the wise old heads bemused at the incoherence and incompetence of the club?....we shall see.

So klemmer had a massive contract with the Tigers for 2025, yet goes and signs a new ( probably) lesser value contract for 2025 only….dumb?

Pretty childish IMO.. Thats why we wanted to offload him and I'm sure Cows will be trying to do the same in the off season when he wants to turn up in Feb for work..

He tried to say it privately but no one could understand him

That’s all and good unless he was in a clique working against the grain. 3 snr players now gone, at least 2 of which would still have been handy this season.

Bateman was a risk signing to begin with in relation to seeing out his contract - don't think he has seen out one in his entire career
As for Klemmer didnt take rejection from the Knights too kindly either and or reportedly instructions from the coach.
Some players a philosophical about being moved and others are not

It was indeed a massive contract next year, conditional on playing 14 games this season, which barring injury he wld have done comfortably
But truth is he was on the decline when we bought him,and not the top draw prop we had hoped for ,but a modest middle worth about $600k max who wld have been paid $800-$850+ if he stayed..
.PLUS maybe a negative contributor in the dressing room from some accounts because of what he perceived as shabby treatment
Best for eveyone that he goes
But who are we gonna replace him with???

It doesn’t make sense does it?
Who does that tell you more about…the player or his ex club?
He didn't miss any money this year.
We've paid him half his contract already and the Dragons will surely fill the rest.
He was told he was gone next year so a great result for both him and the club.
