We really needed that win . Gets the monkey off our back . A lot to work on . A lot of those plays will get crisper and closer to the ad line and at speed .
The stop start nature of Luai was causing real issues for the eels edge . It just got them flat footed , especially Penisini , and retreating . We need to learn how to play off that , when we do … it’s going to be special i think .

Mate I've always held faith. His tackle breaking ability is rare and I couldn't believe how many thought he was slow. He has always been quick and super strong. His problem was switching off mentally but we simply had to persevere with someone like him and get him switched on. The next few weeks are important, he has to back it up consistently now.

I'm sure they're still relatively high - but even you should know defence is attitude and the scoreboard is a bigger indicator than individual missed tackle counts!!

We desperately needed that last year as we all saw with Api being flogged for 80 and being a bit rusty towards the end of the game.

Will benefit the team a lot this year.

He ran his lines all game ! Sometimes as an edge forward you just run all day and never touch the ball .
You know he’s doing his job when the winger outside him scores 3 tries . Was real solid in defence apart from that last 2 mins where he clocked off in garbage time .
