Benji been nailing his bench rotations too.... much improved from last year. Really getting impact when he's getting fresh bodies on the field.

He's got a lot better bench to play with as well.

I thought To'a was below par myself today

He had good hands twice to set up Turuva, defended well and got through work.

He wasn’t really given ball in good running situations.

He had a solid game but not spectacular.

- us finally being the ones to slow the game down by giving away 6 agains, instead of opposition doing it to us

It took Newcastle 51 minutes to score in week 1
It took Parra 79 minutes to score in week 2
Even though Dolphins scored 3 in the first 22 minutes, the boys went 58 minutes without letting them score again.

Great periods of concentration, riding your luck and defensive mindset in each game.

I don't know if it's already been mentioned but my biggest take out of the first three games is that Benji's boys have held the opposition to zero in three halves of football.

After watching last week's game and hearing today's game on ABC radio it seems the guys shift up a gear in the 2nd half.

Bird has quietly been going about his business. I feel like the majority of time when he’s been on the field this season, we’ve either been on top or right in the arm wrestle.

That may well be true, however we aren’t playing the top teams at the moment. We are playing the bottom third of the table and we have to beat them and we are…well.
