Exactly. Great approach from the club. It gives Taylan an opportunity to work hard from the bottom up this season and allows the club the view his work ethic. If the brothers are committed to playing with each other, they should be ecstatic the club has provided an opportunity. If Taylan returns & brains them in Cup, he can play NRL from Round 11 onwards as Cup contracted players can be selected from then. If he declines the offer, that gives the club a good insight into his mindset - ego!

Does anybody feel weird that things have been working out for us?

This feeling is so foreign, our administration is getting things done efficiently, out of the limelight and most of all they seem to be correct moves for the first time I can actually remember.

It feels so strange, is this some alternate reality I’ve woken up in? Hahah

I know right, I'm waiting for the bubble to burst at some stage, just used to all the disappointment, but I just feel this year is different, we could make finals, but I don't think we will, not because we're not good enough, from what the team are showing we are more than good enough, I know we havnt played a top team but we're only 3 weeks in aswell with loads of improvement left in us, our defensive and offensive combinations will improve out of sight, I don't think we will make it because we always recently seem to be cursed with mass injuries and our depth isn't really up to scratch atm. Other thing we will need to contend with is this is the first year aswell if we stay on the same trajectory that we may lose 2 or more key players to origin so the club will be learning on the fly to navigate that aswell. But between now and kick off next year we make 3 - 4 astute signings, we're in for a white hot crack. I feel the same as 09. Where we lost to Parra that last game and missed the 8. Then in 2010 came from nowhere to finish in the top 4. All it took was a few good signings to compliment the team and honestly that year if Benji doesn't kick it over the deadbolt line against the Dragons toward the end of the game we go on to win the comp again.
