It was not the penalties that was the problem it was the one sided 6 to go's that destroyed us imho,every time the wahs needed a leg up he would give them a 6 again,Anusley would be proud of him.

Agreed.. the ref kept them in the game .. he kept giving them possession when they had not earnt it and it wa beyond inept and imo dodgy af officiating.. he manipulated the result , it was disgraceful

May had an amazing game but he puts that ball down instead if dropping it and we go on to win by 12+. That was the moment that changed the game. With a shortage of bench we were always going to weaken on the way home

That and the unfortunate try to Niukore when Fainu was hobbling off but had yet to be replaced - leaving us 1 short on that side with Turuva also leaving the field on the other side - 11 v 13 for a minute and they took advantage.

My point is that while the loss is disappointing they fought really hard with players lost and got unlucky with a refs call. It’s not season over. It’s a lesson learnt for a young team.

That penalty was harsh - NK was falling slightly, Seyfarth was just holding his ground. There was no forward force. He can’t do anything about that.
Teams will start looking for that in future imo.

Yes he did but the Warriors seem dominate the ruck area and metres made because of their size and speed, we were on the back foot a lot.

That's one that got away, enough chances to ice it and they weren't clinical enough.
We will need a much stronger showing next week, can't afford the lapses in concentration in the last 20 mins that we had tonight.
Thought our interchanges were very disjointed this week (hard with all the injuries), but Latu was a real shining light as the back up 13, probably should have played out the game in hindsight.
Hopefully skelton is available this week, his meters out of our end were sorely missed.

that was a killer man … I called it at the time … they had other chances though… Bula’s disallowed try … Heck ..if Bulla didn’t miss two poor tackles that led directly to tries they probably win …

People having a go at Luai and Galvin, how about looking at the other players first? Luai put a good kick in then Faataape booted it into the stands. Galvin put that chip over the top and Turuva and Toa messed it up. It's not their job to tell Starford Toa to stop having a nap when the game is on the line. He's playing first grade, he should be better.

We struggled with powerful players built like trucks that are fast. Halesima, Erin Clark caused us trouble. Ford and Barnett also. We need a powerhouse edge forward badly.
We have 3 spots apparently available and they need to be top 17 players.

Let's just look at reality, we are only marginally better than last year if that, we've had a soft draw yet only have beaten 2 teams that are 0-4, can see some floggings coming up starting from next week, next week will be personal for Maguire still think 16th or 17th will be about it for this season

Pole is a revelation though.
With him, May, Samuela plus two other first grade forward recruits we have a proper pack.
We need centres too. Badly.
We won’t get all of that in the next window, but if we get one strike centre and and edge forward and we are a top 8 team.
