LIVE GAME Round 6 v Knights

Live Game Discussion
I really think it's embarrassing for any professional club to bring back a player after injury and then lose him to the same injury. It's not bad luck, it's really poor management.

That's highly subjective - and has happened with extremely professional & successful NBA & NFL franchises in recent years.

Don't play pretend doctor on;line just to cast aspersions at the club you allegedly support!

He has proven very important defensively and with kick chase. Early days but the halves have to play better.
Much better, can’t see much cohesion there at all. Luai may be talking but apart from the odd run he’s just shovelling the ball out.
But then again, he may have been recruited as an on field coach which is useful. I thought API looked a bit jaded today at times, seemed to be a bit all over the place. Maybe weighing up Townsville as an option.

When it’s a hammy it’s really up to the player to provide accurate feedback , and if the range of motion is there , it’s kind of hard for a physio to really know , especially if the scan come back as minor .
I don’t think it’s mismanagement by the club . My guess is Jeral downplayed how bad it was as when Luke came in , I thought he did a good job , and is probably applying pressure to jeral to keep that spot .
Hamstrings are notoriously injuries that can cause heaps of problems . Look at Tommy turbo

The knights have now scored 2 tries in 3 games of football since they signed Dylan Brown

Do they just stink or do you think the players aren’t too happy with the Brown signing? mainly Ponga who looks like an absolute passenger out there

Ponga might not be too happy about not being the highest paid player next season.

Having a player on a contract so out of proportion with players of comparable talent is likely to cause disquiet in the dressing shed. Ponga should have been made to undergo concussion protocols after being hit by his team mate.

Got to watch the game live today. To'a and Bula the real threats in the backline. Highlight was To'a giving Best a bake right in front of us. Sione Fainu and Pole looked really strong live.

I think Benji's style of attack is going to look great when on, and awful when its not, with not much in between. Galvin's decision making was poor, Luai looked directionless and Api was somewhat overplaying again. Can't help but think Latu's style gets us a few more points today.

Knights looked awful, low energy from the outset, morale looked really low we countered that with some great energy and linespeed and finally winning the contact.

Don't mind winning ugly today

A win is a win , but we really didn’t play much football , take away 10 - 15 minutes in the 1st half other than that it was one out footy , for me Galvin needs to stop been in every play , Laui is not playing like a 1/2 back he’s not setting up plays because Galvin is running the show .
Defence was good but the knights were extremely poor today and we could only put 20 on them

Maybe . There’s what 3 first grade halves running around in KOE. And the management said they need a 4th . It would be hard to cop when you’ve come 7th last year .
I think they’re off O’Brien , and have been since he “don’t you know who I am” at the races .
The glue up there is Kalyn I think . Plus most teams have figured if you just slide and trust your inside man Kalyn really can’t do anything . Clearly the game plan against the knights is play attrition football and let them beat themselves . Be expansive , but make sure you reset the line asap as often as possible.
I think we did that for large parts in round 1 , just turned the ball over and gave certain players space against a staggered defence , which undermined the gameplan . Plus we invited them in with a conservative game plan.
The knights are going to have to figure out something else other than Ponga crabbing across field and giving it to best in 2 on 2 positions .
