OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I think he’s a young kid who needs guidance.
He’s made some mistakes though and I don’t think he can play for the tigers anymore:
He needs guidance, just not the sort he is getting atm. As others have said, his brand has suffered greatly, at least at our club.
He also needs a lesson in humility if he made that comment. Ressies for him.

It’s more on the club than the ‘Galvin cohort’. They are doing the right thing for their client and son.
Richo’s part in this came from allowing Benji to play him so much last year in the way he was played…especially when these rumblings were already occurring. We should have proven to him that development is a real KPI at this club for being selected into such a pivotal role as a spine player who touches the ball so regularly.
No mate .. a lot of people think the best thing for their client would be to bank a contract for 6 million Dollars for a 19 year old one injury away from potentially not having 6 million dollars .. instead of being a hometown hero he is now facing a media storm and his “brand” is currently under siege .. like you say he is not as good a 6 as he is hyped to be so who knows where his career will go and this may be the best time to cash in .. saying all that I don’t think they have looked after their client and the club did its absolute best to manage the situation.

Agree - he’s getting good guidance but doesn’t know its value. Thinks he knows better.

The Reed article offers no substantiation of the claim that senior players want Galvin out. Most likely it is a narrative being peddled by camp Galvin to secure an early release. If Galvin is genuinely persona non grata, then demote him to jersey flegg, do not release him to another club unless there is a star player coming the other way.

If Moses is guilt of anything it’s listening to his client and taking his word literally without asking more questions or providing any kind of counsel. I don’t think he has a vendetta against the tigers. Other than that he’s just representing his clients wishes.

Do you really believe this?
Yeah I do. They’ve offered him big money and Moses could make a good commission.

I’m not saying Moses is doing the right thing, but I don’t think he’s deliberately trying to sabotage the tigers. He’s just blindly following his clients requests without asking more questions or having a dialogue with the club. This makes me think a deal is essentially done with another club.

Riccio is a nob. He is just rewriting what other people have already reported or said. I really hope we just stick him in reserve grade for the next 18months. No release. It won’t hurt our cap. Let Lachy stew on his decision whilst watching the club he abandoned rise to the top right in front of him.
And it will do wonders for his development lol 🤔

I definitely would have preferred to keep him, but I’m not 100% sold on Galvin yet anyway.

He definitely has a presence that most young halves don’t (although this could be related to him being 6’4), but for every good play he makes, there’s 4 terrible plays to go with it. Now this might get rectified as he matures and gets more experience, but it might not. Let’s not forget Josh Schuster was the last superstar junior that was supposed to conquer the world.

He’ll end up at one of Moses’ MacDonalds franchises. Which clubs does he have coaches as clients. His modus operandi is well known. It’s that simple with Moses.

I don't necessarily feel there is any bitterness towards Galvin however i do feel that Moses will no longer have the power he once had over us. In saying that i feel like maybe latu should try and slot straight into the 7, might help Luai work on his combos with the forwards whilst covering his natural left side play style. Latu is a gun half no matter where he is played so it doesn't really matter what number is on his back.
Welcome to the WTF. Good First post.

Good point

Latu is a #7 which would allow Jerome to be a #6 .

Just on ur point , he is not as good as he thinks , he is not the fastest player and as he puts on weight he may have to move to the backrow , so whoever signs him as a 5/8 might end up with forward , and we willing to go down to he road , I hate saying this but I hope he falls flat on his big head

We have an opportunity to nip this kind of shit in the bud and stop it from ever happening again.

First things first, you take the Bennett approach and dump him to reserve grade. He doesn’t play another game of first grade at the Tigers, he doesn’t train with the first grade team. He doesn’t want to be coached by Benji? So be it.

Second thing is you then take the Bellamy approach and refuse any early releases unless we get equal or close to equal value back whether that be in players, cash or a combo of both.

Third thing is we refuse to negotiate with or sign any Isaac Moses clients going forward. I know Bula is one of his but we have time to convince him to dump Moses. This cancer butchered our club once 8 years ago and is trying to do it again. Enough is enough.

The has happened too many times now. Richo has already made a great start with the statement yesterday but we need to follow through on those three things if we’re ever truly going to move forward as a club.
