Curious what weight he is playing at because if a still developing body is being expected to carry extra weight (to play through the middle) then it's likely soft tissue injuries occur as a result. So I do blame the club.
5'11" and 83 kg.
Soft tissue injuries are tricky, but the younger you are, the quicker you generally bounce back.
The most important thing is lean muscle mass, which protects the structure of the tissue and bone and helps reduce injuries in any contact sport.
Since PVL decided to speed up the game with the six again rule, I can see players becoming leaner, faster and much more mobile in the coming years.
