Fifita is a signing worth making.

It's clear as day he's disgruntled there. The player we're seeing now isn't the player he is and if we can get him at a significant discount, we're getting a guy that when his head and body are right, is arguably the best second rower in the game.

Very hard to say no to running the rush on Fifita. Probably the most gifted forward of this generation in par with Haas. With the likes of Jarome and co that might help him buy into the culture here.

Can Nanai do the dirty work in defence, all in good been a good attacker but you cannot have a player go missing when it is time to tackle. This also applies to Fifta who looks like Tarazan but ends going walkabouts.

If Titans contribute $100K for the remainder of this year and $200K for next year, his salary averages out to be $600K spread across two seasons. If Richo’s got money burning a hole in his pocket, this would be a good buy. If it’s true Fifita’s uncle is Bula’s father in law, a family connection and change of scenery could be exactly what he needs.

The ankle injury is a concern, but he is 5-6 years younger than Olam when we signed him, that makes a big difference.
In any case we really don’t want to be going much higher than 700k for Fifita or KPP, although I would personally go as high as 900k if we could secure Nanai.
I think it’s certain we land one of these 3, if it’s Fifita maybe an instant transfer which would be interesting.

I think with the pending announcement of the Bears joining the NRL in 2027 a lot of teams are scrambling to sort out their cap before Nov 1 to make sure they don't get caught in bidding wars with other clubs. Could be why Richo got on the front foot with Galvin rather than waiting to fully sort out our cap.

Yeah that's the big query @Bellend about both of them. Benji seems to like those all-effort players in the backrow. Do they lead kick chases or turn up in cover defence when required?
