Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We SHOULD be sitting on 18 points now, with another 2 coming this weekend that would 20 points coming into Rd 16.

We SHOULD have beaten the Knights in Rd 1, the Warriors in Rd 4 and Penrith last weekend. If the boys had turned up in the 1st half of Rd 13 against the Cowboys we SHOULD have won that game well as.

Discipline, bad options (last passes etc Galvin was good for a few per game) and some questionable refereeing decisions have cost the team badly.
As I've said before, we've only copped two real hidings so far this year, a huge improvement on last season.
Regarding questionable refereeing decisions, well what's OK for every other team just isn't OK for Wests Tigers players.
I still believe there is a clandestine push to get rid of this club, led by NewsCorp but aided and abetted by the NRL & with other media outlets & certain player managers all joining in the pile on.

Or for some reason some players look like super stars at the tigers is because we don't have 17 quality first grade players and it's easier to shine in Sh?t
IMHO, I think it's harder.
Luai for instance shined at Penrith, although he did pick his games.

Staines / Turuva likewise looked good at Penrith. When you are a good winger in a crap side, you look bad because you may not even get the ball.

Fox and nine have thrown Galvin’s name in the ring for the next immortal. It’s sickening the way they are hyping this guy up especially after the way he orchestrated his release from us. Also what’s the young no6 at the Raiders got to do to get these bone head so called experts, to give him the same hype
Flavour of the month, mate.
Another shiny new thing will come along in time that they'll all be gushing over.

Also the way he cost us the Souths game?

I mean are they watching him play, seriously?
He has talent but he has some shockers. Very LB vibes.

On the official WT website yhe following playersvin the top 30 are named as locks

Bird
Matamu
EL-Zakhem
Murray
Kit Laulilii

Only Bird is a constant top 17 player and rarely plays lock.

Why doesnt the club hire a former Lock forward to work with these players so we can properly develop them.

Hunt should have people around him to lose weight and gain fitness. He is a professional athlete so he should do everything to be in best shape.

It worries me over the years of the support network WT has to turn juniors into very good career NRL players.

Given 2 new teams are joining the talent is going to be spread more thinly. Not a fan of expansion as we do not have enough quality to go around.

Can someone explain why we lack "Back Depth"...
Fullback: Bula/Mason
Center: Toa, AD, Saukuru, Faataape, Feledy... Far out we would kick Scrabble with that list..
Wing: Skelton, Turuva, Staines, Laulili...

+ Jack Bird who can play backs...

What are people expecting here?
The Raiders have 3 wingers and 3 centers signed to their top 30 and IMHO I think that's a better way to go. Just make sure your 2x starting Centers are starters and your wings are good!

Free your cap to spend on your top 17. Don't go hiring lots of depth which really only soaks up cap space and positions.
When you look at next year- Douehi, Faatape, Feledy, Naden, Staines all off contract and Sakuru has moved into the forwards in Flegg

According to Tele … Jordan millers arbitration being heard next week unless they work out a settlement in the meantime …according to the article he was on $300k a year so $600k is what he says he is owed 😂
I obviously dont know the ins and outs of this. I assume it was more then 1 indiscretion that led to his dismissal by the club. For the club sake I hope thats the story. Because from the 'media report' about being sacked for being late when he was helping the police. He is getting his 600k

We only know his version of the story … so I’ll keep an open mind … Cant believe he was on $300k a year …they make some terrible calls … hopefully that’s behind them now

Fifita for this year may change the needle for us in hope we do it
It is a balancing act, Cobbo imo would be a good for WTs at left centre. Doueihi has copped critiscism for his performance against the Panthers. Cobbo is a danger to opposition defences with his combination of pace and power. Fifita in the past has been a fine player but his form is erratic. Many have May slotted at left centre but he has played minimal games at centre (8). I believe he will be competing with Skelton and Staines for left wing if he can play consistently well.
