I’d agree with you any other time, but he really does seem to be playing like he’s gone on for one season too many. I think retirement beckons. We don’t need to sign any more has beens, no matter how good they once were.

Were competitive most parts now I just think he’d provide extra composure in the tighter games
If Latu is heir (supposedly) and out plays him then you’re in a good position. With a club favourable contract say he plays well and you take an extra year you are still only carrying load in the cap for 1 year. It would be like other wastes we’ve had sponging for multiple years

Edit- we seem also to be infusing younger players so experience is a plus. Not to mention he did have enough form to get selected for qld. Yes he got dropped but did earn his original selection

Ah, but they would / might actually be in their proper positions with Moses 7 and Brooks 6. Would be interesting for posterity to see if the suspicion of them being played the wrong way around was more correct than wrong.

They were definitely played the wrong way. We can thank Jason Taylor for that wisdom.

Agreed that he is accountable but there was an ineptitude in the previous admin that we don’t have now. Sure Richo didn’t get his mark but we weren’t left with egg on our face like the failed Lattrell or JAC signings of the past admin. There’s a big difference in a player declining an offer because he doesn’t want to move interstate away from his family, and a player who rejects our offer to go to another Sydney club.

The Point seems to be missed here...

We bought Luai to be the man, Luai came here to be the man...
Now we just offered huge money to a bloke to come have Luai play under him.
It's NOT a back up plan, It's a complete change in direction.
What does that tell Luai about the clubs direction and belief in him?
(All previously well sold, I'm sure)

If I was top class, at the top of my game at my job
and my boss was looking to buy an old bloke on his last legs to come in over me,
I'd certainly be reassessing my options - Especially if I had as many as Luai does.
(And all the contract options to go along with those options)

We can thank Jason Taylor for doing more harm to this club than any other single coach which is a massive but very unwelcome achievement when you think about it.
The worst coach i have ever seen in my over 70 years of life.
