Is it any surprise? He refs like that in NRL each week. Blows the pea out of the whistle, over refs every game. Just can’t let the game flow and let the players decide who wins. If the hierarchy thought he would ref SOO any differently they were kidding themselves. Gets a lot of calls wrong too that get challenged and overturned.

Anyone think NSW lack any sort of creativity out of dummy half? QLD don’t need to do any homework on Robson. Never runs. Just shovels to first receiver. Safe a great defensively, but will never have an opposition second guessing.

Hoping they drop Luai for game 3 and also Edwards and put Teddy in. Maybe also keep Connor Watson in. This is based on what I saw (even though I didn’t watch the game) and nothing to do with who we play in round 18…

But seriously just shows how bad some of these selections are. If Utoikamanu doesn’t get dropped then for Koloamatangi then there are serious problems. I even checked other forums to confirm Wests Tigers bias was not playing any part in how bad he was. NSW have sooo much more talent than the QLD side but the coach seriously has no clue. Sure the ref may play a part but NSW should be blowing QLD out of the park.

If Connor Watson is in the best 17 players eligible for NSW selection I will eat my hat.

Stefano is too slow for the SOO stage can’t see him be given another game in the decider.

I honestly wouldn’t be making wholesale changes, NSW win the series last night if not for goal kicking. They are clearly the better team when they actually play football and stop the niggling tactics.

Steph should go for sure, hopefully Barnett will be back. Both Robson and Watson were good in game one, I’d keep them in. I’d keep Edwards in too, it was tough conditions for a fullback last night and though he didn’t inject himself into the game much, I thought he was pretty safe at the back.

The halves might be an issue if both Moses and Cleary are unavailable. Luai should keep his spot as long as he doesn’t get too over hyped again and just plays footy like he did in the second half. So it would be Luai at 6 but who at 7? Someone else needs to kick goals, Lomax’s confidence is shot.

Game 2 2025 NSW were penalised 8 to 0 in the 1st half after winning Game 1
Is this the NRL way of guaranteeing a live Game 3 decider

Yep. An opposition tip sheet on Api would be a page long. Kick threat from dummy half. Run threat from dummy half. Look long, play short at the line threat. Wrap around threat.
Opposition tip sheet on Robson would be one line: pass to first receiver. Sometimes goes to short side.
