Good point. The only thing I can think of is they have made an offer which they think is fair but he has rejected and they are happy for him to test the market to see his real value.

The other possible reason is that as a 14 he is a bit limited whereas some like Mason offers greater versatility not withstanding what we do if Api goes down.

Mason in my opinion has a long way to go … he needs to work on his strength and defence

Also there is a shortage of quality in crucial positions in the market. Da Silva has at least 5, perhaps more, clubs interested. Our club was always going to lose one of our hookers. The best outcome is that we receive a player(s) we want in return.

If TDS was really that good.I have no doubt we wld lock him in for 2027 ongoing.It wldnt be a conversation
But weve seen Liddle..seen Simpkin seen Cherry ..and several others as supposedly the next "big thing" at hooker...
...and they werent.

They just fell into the hooker position by default

Simpkin would have to be the biggest flop I’ve seen. He was the next QLD #9 according to most tigers fans (myself included, I won’t lie) based on a few reserve grade highlights
